    摘要: A system and method handles one or more pumping units in an out-of-balance condition. Sensing equipment monitors operating parameters related to balance of each of the one or more pumping units. Processing equipment determines the out-of-balance condition in at least one of the one or more pumping units based on the monitored operating parameters. A first correction to a counterbalance parameter of the at least one pumping unit can be calculated, such as a new position or weight of the counterbalance, so the out-of-balance condition can be corrected by implementing the new position or weight at the at least one pumping unit. A second correction to a stroke parameter of the at least one pumping unit can be calculated, such as a new stroke rate or pattern, so operation of the pumping unit can be maintained despite the out-of-balance condition.

    摘要: An analogue computer arranged for the solution of linear programming problems by the method of steepest ascents comprises a plurality of integrators, summing amplifiers and error-signaldefining amplifiers arranged in various interconnected signalconducting paths and the signal-representative of the objective function is optimized automatically by deriving a correction signal from the signal-conducting paths and adding the correction signal to a signal of constant amplitude. The correction signal may be proportional to the maximum absolute value of error signal or the maximum positive or negative error signal appearing at the outputs of the error-signal-defining amplifiers.
