摘要： A positioning device includes two guiding members fixed spacedly in a housing. Each guiding member has a hook-shaped guiding slot having an elongate first slot portion, and a curved second slot portion defined by front and rear stop walls. A pivot member is connected pivotally to a detachable module. Two positioning rods of the pivot member are respectively guided by the first slot portions of the guiding slots in the guiding members to move rearwardly as a result of rearward movement of the detachable module until the positioning rods abut respectively against the rear stop walls. The pivot member is then pivoted to move the positioning rods to abut respectively against the front stop walls, thereby resulting in further rearward movement of the detachable module by a predetermined distance in response to continuous pivoting of the pivot member.

摘要： A positioning device capable of performing accurate positioning of holograms formed on a recording medium is disclosed. The positioning device includes a rotation driving unit for rotating a disk-shaped recording medium in a peripheral direction, a horizontal driving unit for moving the recording medium in a horizontal direction. The positioning of the recording medium is performed by the rotation driving unit and the horizontal driving unit. The rotation driving unit includes a central driving unit for rotating the recording medium on a central portion and a peripheral driving unit for rotating the recording medium at a peripheral edge. The peripheral driving unit includes a rotating part which is rotatable separately from the central driving unit. The rotating part is formed in the shape of a disk whose diameter is smaller than the recording medium and is disposed in the horizontal direction to the disk-shaped recording medium. As a peripheral edge of the rotating part abuts the peripheral edge of the recording medium, with the peripheral rotation, the peripheral driving unit rotates the recording medium.

摘要： A floppy disk drive having a drive lever for driving a floppy disk. The drive lever is made from a low-cost metal plate and is elastically supported by a coil spring, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost. The drive lever has an arcuate shape which is bent inwardly in such a manner that an outward force of the drive lever is increased, thereby reducing friction and abrasion of the driving pin. The floppy disk drive has a rotor case of a driving motor, and a drive lever disposed at an inner bottom portion of the rotor case. The drive lever has a first end at which the driving pin protrudes through an opening in the rotor case, and a second opposite end which is secured to the case by a screw surrounded by the coil spring. Due to the coil spring, the drive lever offers elastic resistance when the driving pin is engaged in an engagement hole of a floppy disk hub. The drive lever is straight or has an arcuate shape which is bent inwardly.

摘要： A clamp for securing one or more data storage disks to a hub is formed as a slightly frusto-conical shaped annulus of resilient material with inwardly and upwardly extending lobes that are displaced radially outward during installation about a hub. Clamping force is derived from the compression of the lobes which are captured by the hub and the twisting of the annulus from the frusto-conical configuration to a substantially radial orientation. The clamp is formed of a material that is softer than the disk to cause the clamp to be compliant and conform to the disk irregularities and thereby avoid compromising disk flatness. The clamp component material composition is also modified to achieve a coefficient of linear expansion that is identical to the disk. The outer periphery of the clamp presents an interrupted flange that permits a tool to engage the clamp, perform the assembly about the hub and be disengaged using automated equipment.

摘要： An automatic disc loading apparatus for an information reproducing or recording/reproducing system in which pieces of information recorded on a record disc are to be reproduced or pieces of information are recorded on a record disc and thereafter reproduced. The apparatus comprises a casing structure into which the record disc is to be inserted in a predetermined direction along a predetermined plane substantially parallel with the predetermined direction toward a predetermined position within the casing structure. The casing structure is formed with a slot elongated in a direction substantially perpendicular to the aforesaid predetermined direction. A disc guide is provided comprising a pair of disc guide members movable toward and away from each other within the casing structure and in the neighborhood of the above mentioned slot substantially symmetrically with respect to the above mentioned predetermined direction. The record disc is passed between the disc guide members when being inserted in the predetermined direction into the casing structure through the slot. A drive is operative to drive the disc guide members for movement toward or away from each other.

Adjustment perforations or embossments or engravements and switch-on safety elements, if provided, for a sound reproducing apparatus attachable in aligned position, are associated with each sound groove. It is suggested to provide the sound grooves with the adjustment perforations and the switch-on safety elements on separate double pages of plastic material, at best being semi-rigid, and bound in the book, inserted into the quaternia thereof, in order to permit more favorable production of the individual book pages and of the sound groove carriers and to prevent any obstruction when the book is read with a sound reproducing apparatus having a revolving pickup placed on the sound groove and to avoid too much bulging of the book, especially toward one side. The sound grooves may be provided at the front and back sides of the sound record pages so as to be disposed directly opposite each other. The adjustment perforations or engravements and embossments as well as the switch-on safety elements may be arranged symmetrically with respect to two orthogonal central axes of the sound grooves such that they will be in common for the oppositely disposed sound grooves. The switch-on safety elements are embodied by an upwardly protruding embossment and a downwardly protruding engravement located close to the embossment.

摘要： A teaching machine on which is replaceably mounted a rectangular sheet of paper or the like with a spiral magnetic track on one surface, which is directed downwardly, and with printed material on the other surface for visual presentation of the subject of audio information prerecorded on the track. A movable magnetic head under the sheet follows its track for playback or recording. To afford closer contact between head and sheet and hence to improve the playback quality, a hinged holder frame secures the sheet to the machine casing at its marginal edges only, and the head is spring biased into abutting contact with the yieldably supported sheet. The head itself is supported out of the perpendicular to the plane of the sheet so as to remain in intimate contact therewith throughout its travel along the complete track on the sheet.

摘要： Miniature apparatus for reproducing sound from a stationary record which comprises a base and a main shaft mounted on the base. A disc-like member is rotatably mounted on the main shaft and means is carried by the base for rotating the disc-like member. A cartridge having a stylus therein adapted to engage the record is provided. An arm assembly carries the cartridge in one end thereof and means is provided for mounting the arm assembly on the disc-like member to permit swinging motion of the arm assembly about horizontal and vertical pivot axes. The disc-like member has an arcuate slot therein through which the stylus can extend to engage the record.
