    摘要: A subsea fuse assembly is provided. The subsea fuse assembly is adapted to be operated in a pressurized environment. The subsea fuse assembly includes an enclosure adapted to be filled with a dielectric liquid, and a pressure compensator including a flexible element for pressure compensation. The subsea fuse assembly also includes a first penetrator and a second penetrator each passing through a wall of the enclosure for leading a first electric conductor and a second electric conductor, respectively, into the enclosure. The subsea fuse assembly includes a fuse arranged inside the enclosure and connected between the first electric conductor and the second electric conductor.

    摘要: An under oil expulsion fuse cartridge assembly includes a tubular housing of non-electrical conductive material, an electrically conductive contact removably threadedly mounted on each end of the housing, and a replaceable fuse assembly removably received within the tubular housing. One of the end contacts incorporates a pressure chamber providing a flushing and cleaning operation during the interruption process. The fuse assembly includes a fuse liner tube in a fuse link therein in the form of a flat ribbon element electrially connected to each of the end contacts. One end of the fuse link is mounted on a thin disc which includes a plurality of projecting lands that prevent direct engagement of the fuse link with the end contact to avoid breaking the fuse link. The fuse link also includes a plurality of holes formed therethrough covered by a eutectic material having a desired melting temperature so that current interruption occurs at a predetermined operating temperature.

    摘要: An improved circuit interrupting device includes a pair of contacts which are relatively movable and between which an arc is established. Following melting of a fusible element, a stored energy source relatively moves the contacts apart to elongate the arc, and a container of pressurized dielectric fluid simultaneously directs fluid from a port at the arc. The fluid and the arc elongation ultimately extinguish the arc. A fusible diaphragm normally closes the port to prevent the escape of fluid, and also, due to its mechanical attachment to the contacts, restrains relative movement therebetween. The fusible element is so connected as to normally shunt current through the device away from the diaphragm. When the fusible element melts, all of the current through the device flows through and melts the diaphragm. As the diaphragm melts, two results are effected: fluid is permitted to escape from the port, and relative movement between the contacts occurs.

    摘要: The present invention is a current limiting fuse device for protecting a power semiconductor element for use in a large current device such as DC-AC or AC-DC converter from overcurrent. The current limiting fuse device includes an outer casing filled with a cooling and insulating oil, a cylindrical body immersed in the cooling and insulating oil having sealed therein a hollow fuse element with an arc suppression agent, and a pair of conductive terminal holding fittings each conductively coupled to a respective end of the hollow fuse element, secured to the respective ends of the cylindrical body at one end so as to allow the cooling and insulating oil to pass through an inner bore in the hollow fuse element, and projected from said outer casing at the other end.
