摘要: An nth order magnetic multipole arrangement for influencing the trajectory of charged particles is disclosed. In order to avoid using structural parts that are manufactured separately, it has been found to provide as the multipole arrangement, the stator of a multi-pole alternating current machine, the stator winding of which is fed by a voltage source in such a way that the produce of current and number of turns (number of ampere turns) in a groove or group of grooves disposed under the azimuth angle .theta. is proportional to cos (n .theta.), n corresponding to the order (order number) of the multipole arrangement, and the factors a and b being taken from the ratio b/a which states the orientation of the multipole relative to the azmith angle .theta.=0. As the multipole arrangement there may be provided also a stator, excited by permanent magnets, of a direct current machine.

摘要: A deflective focusing system includes a magnetic lens for focusing a charged particle beam, a plurality of rings made of magnetic material arranged substantially concentrically with the magnetic lens inside of the magnetic lens, the rings being arranged at spaced apart positions in the direction of the central axis of the magnetic lens so as to form a predetermined magnetic focusing field distribution, a one-stage electrostatic deflector having a plurality of deflection electrodes which are spaced apart in a circumferential direction of the magnetic lens, which are arranged substantially concentrically with the magnetic lens inside of the magnetic lens, and which extend in the direction of the central axis so as to form a predetermined electrostatic deflection field distribution, so that the charged particle beam passes through the concentrically arranged deflection electrodes to be deflected in accordance with a voltage applied to the deflection electrodes, and ring-like grounding electrodes disposed substantially concentrically with the magnetic lens on the object plane side and the image plane side of the electrostatic deflector along the passage of the charged particle beam. The electromagnetic field is adjusted by the deflector, the rings and the grounding electrodes to obtain small aberrations and a small landing angle.

摘要: A magnetic focusing type cathode ray tube includes a magnetic yoke assembly, for magnetically focusing and converging three in-line electron beams, having a pair of magnetic yokes opposing each other with a predetermined gap therebetween. The magnetic cylinders on the cathode side are so formed as to have a strong magnetic shield effect while the magnetic cylinders on the screen side are weak in magnetic shield effect. The radial components in the magnetic field produced in the magnetic gap, which act on the side beams in a direction perpendicular to an in-line direction, are reverse in polarity on the cathode side and screen side so that radial components emerge so as to converge the beams in a tube axis direction.

摘要: There is disclosed an in-line type three-gun color picture tube with a couple of magnetic members inside its neck portion and a further magnet outside its neck portion. The respective magnetic members are provided with three through-holes permitting electron beams emitted from the electron guns to pass through and are disposed separately in a beam traveling path, so that the periphery of the through-holes of one of the magnetic members is magnetized in S pole and that of the other magnetic member is magnetized in N pole, and accordingly a focusing magnetic field is formed between the respective pairs of the through-holes which are opposite to each other. The magnetic pieces are disposed between the adjacent through-holes to intensify the magnetic field in the alignment of the through-holes which is weakened due to the presence of the through-holes, so that the focusing magnetic field in the alignment of the through-holes is compensated and accordingly the respective focusing magnetic fields become symmetrical with respect to their axes.
