    摘要: The invention pertains to a solar cell unit comprising a back electrode, a photovoltaic layer, a front electrode, and a transparent top layer, characterized in that on top of the top layer at least one removable transparent polymer film is present. Preferably, two to ten, more preferably three to five, removable transparent polymer films stacked one on top of the other are present on the top layer. On the bottom side the transparent polymer films may be provided with an adhesive layer that displays greater adhesion to the polymer film itself than to the underlying layer. Preferably, the solar cell unit is also provided with a substrate at the back of the back electrode. The presence of a transparent removable top layer enables easy removal of a surface once it has got dirty.

    摘要: A cover, constructed as a solar generator, for closing an opening in the bodywork of a vehicle which consists of a transparent panel, an assembly attached to the underside of the panel, which assembly consists of a solar cell field and a plastics material in which the latter is embedded, a frame foamed onto the peripheral edge area of the panel, optionally reinforced by embedded profiled bars, and a foam-molded backing layer connected in one piece with the frame. The simply constructed solar cover producible in this way without seal and foam-restricting arrangements exerting contact pressure forces on the assembly allows the application of elevated foaming pressures without the risk of damage to the sensitive solar cells. The backing layer protects the assembly from below and allows the foaming on of projections, ribs and the like. A preferred method of producing the solar cover is also proposed, in which the foaming pressure is >1 bar.

    摘要: A solar battery module in use has a solar battery panel and a frame body. The solar battery panel is constituted by laminating a front cover, a filler, a crystal solar battery cell, another filler, and a back cover on one another in this order. The frame body surrounds the outer periphery of the solar battery. At each corner of one side of the frame body is formed a notch with its open end facing toward the light-receiving surface. Under rainfall, rainwater which fell down onto the light-receiving surface flows toward below the solar battery module, and is then held back by the frame member provided on the frame body. The rainwater remaining flows into the notch. In the notch, the rainwater is guided toward above the frame member on the principles of siphon action so as to be discharged out of the solar battery module.

    摘要: In a substrate-integration-type thin-film solar cell module wherein an element is directly formed on a transparent insulating substrate, wiring between a bus region and a terminal box is formed of a solder-plated copper foil. To ensure insulation between a device surface and the solder-plated copper foil, an insulating sheet buried in a filler is inserted in a gap therebetween. A glass nonwoven fabric sheet or a 160° C.-heat-resistant synthetic fiber fabric sheet can be used for the insulating sheet. Contact between an edge of an opening in a back protection cover and the wiring is prevented by positioning output wiring by means of an insulating sheet portion. An insulating sheet for preventing entrance of water from the opening is disposed at the opening.

    摘要: A method for determining the susceptibility of solar cell cover glass or second surface mirror to ultraviolet (UV) degradation comprises the steps of illuminating the solar cell cover glass with ultra violet light at a preselected illumination angle where the solar cell cover glass reflects a portion of the ultraviolet light; measuring the reflected portion of the ultraviolet light; and, characterizing the propensity of the cover glass or contaminate layer on a second surface mirror to degradation as a function of the reflectance. The process results in an improvement of the long-term power output of solar cells by screening out cover glasses that have a propensity to darken under solar-equivalent UV exposure and thus maintaining optical transparency arising from increased solar absorption in darkened cover glass. The process will additionally result in decreased contaminant levels on thermal control surfaces and less on-orbit degradation.
