    摘要: Embodiments of the inventive subject matter are directed to PCB stator motors having radially positioned wheel-based bearings for the rotor, including PCB stator motors that are included in camera stabilizing and control systems. PCB stator motors of the inventive subject matter feature a rotor that creates a slot into which a PCB stator is disposed. Surrounding that rotor is a set of wheels having, e.g., grooves into which an outer edge of the rotor can be disposed. The set of wheels enables the rotor to rotate smoothly as a result of a motor controller activating the PCB stator. In some embodiments, an annular roll motor is accompanied by one or more tilt motors to create a camera system that can, e.g., actively stabilize a camera that is disposed at least partially within the roll motor's interior space.

    摘要: The torque augmentation device has two primary embodiments. The first embodiment is two rotors, the rotors including rings of permanent magnets. The two rotors are angled with respect to each other. The magnetic field is disrupted on the bottom half by a ferrous flux diversion plate. With the forces unbalanced between the upper and lower halves of the rotors, rotation will result, thus augmenting the torque production of any associated rotational device. The second embodiment uses a straight shaft, with a single central rotor, both sides of the rotor covered in magnets. In place of adjacent rotors, the second half of the magnets is placed on fixed plates, one on each side of the central rotor. The fixed plates are set at an angle with respect to the central rotor, creating the unbalanced forces that cause rotation.

    摘要: An electrical system includes a power inverter module (PIM) connected to DC and AC voltage buses and having a pair of inverter phase legs, at least one of which includes a plurality of semiconductor switche. A cycloidal electric machine with plurality of electrical phases is connected to the PIM via the AC voltage bus, and has a stator and a rotor with eccentric stator and rotor axes. The rotor moves with two degrees of freedom, including rotating motion about the rotor axis and orbiting motion about the stator axis. A controller applies, for each respective phase, a phase-specific offset value to a carrier signal and to a voltage reference signal. This generates a modified carrier signal and a modified reference signal, respectively, which in turn generate a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal. The electric machine is powered via the PIM by energizing the semiconductor switches using the PWM signal.
