Abstract:
Systems and methods for a feeding structure for an antenna array are provided. In at least one embodiment, the feeding structure for an antenna array comprises one or more circuit boards with one or more circuits formed thereon, one or more conductive layers wherein the one or more circuit boards are mounted to the one or more conductive layers, and one or more connectors coupled to the one or more circuits through an opening in the one or more conductive layers. Furthermore, the one or more conductive layers are separated by a dielectric from the one or more circuits and the one or more conductive layers contact the one or more circuit boards such that the one or more circuits are isolated from the one or more conductive layers.
Abstract:
A geared spherical electromagnetic machine with two-axis rotation includes an inner frame, an outer frame, a spherical body, a first coil, a second coil, a third coil, a first hemispherical body, a second hemispherical body, a first plurality of inner magnets, a second plurality of inner magnets, a first gearbox, and a second gearbox.
Abstract:
An anti-lightning-combined-stripline-circuit system is provided. The anti-lightning-combined-stripline-circuit system includes a stripline board including circuitry, and a metal ground bar attached to the stripline board. The metal ground bar has a geometry configured to function as a ground for the circuitry and simultaneously function as a lightning ground for a linear array of elements driven by the circuitry.
Abstract:
A method for providing cues to an aerial vehicle operator is disclosed. The method includes: determining when a vehicle is on final approach; processing a plurality of ground images of a ground path ahead of the vehicle; identifying a lane in the processed ground images; determining whether the identified lane corresponds to an assigned runway based on a relative position or a relative geometry of the identified lane; tracking during landing a left and a right side edge, a front edge, and a runway center line of the assigned runway; determining, relative to the runway center line, whether a relative position of the vehicle during landing is left of, right of, or aligned with the runway center line; and providing visual and/or audible guidance to the vehicle operator to take corrective action when the relative position of the vehicle during landing is not aligned with the runway center line.
