The oscillation controller generates first and second control potentials. The first and second current sources generate control currents corresponding to the first and second control potentials, respectively. The oscillation section is connected to a power source potential node via the first current source and connected to a ground potential node via the second current source, and generates a clock. The first fluctuation transmitter is disposed between the power source potential node and the first control potential node, and transmits a potential fluctuation in the power source potential node to the first control potential node. The second fluctuation transmitter is disposed between the ground potential node and the second control potential node, and transmits the potential fluctuation in the ground potential node to the second control potential node.

A power control circuit controls power supply to a voltage controlled oscillation circuit 28 and the like. The power control circuit turns on the switching circuit for a specified period when power supply to the voltage controlled oscillation circuit is started.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for stabilizing the frequency of a piezoelectric crystal resonator, especially useful in common emergency positioning radio beacons. A temperature compensated crystal oscillator circuit (TCXO) is mounted on one surface of a thin substrate. The TCXO includes a piezoelectric device such as a quartz resonator and a capacitor thermistor compensation network to reduce the frequency fluctuations of the crystal through variations in temperature. A heating circuit is mounted to the opposing surface of the substrate, thereby providing a thermal connection between the two circuits. The heating circuit includes a temperature sensor for sensing changes in ambient temperatures and a heater control amplifier for adjusting the power of a heating element. The substrate with the two circuits disposed thereon is suspended within a hermetically sealed enclosure by a plurality of support pins. The pins assist in supporting the substrate away from the interior walls of the enclosure thereby reducing heat loss. The crystal oscillator is therefore maintained within a certain temperature range while temperatures at which activity dips often occur are avoided. The invention is also a method for constructing an electronic component heater assembly, including the construction of conventional oven controlled crystal oscillators.

Electrical connection is provided between the oscillator and compensation circuitry and the piezoelectric element (170) to produce a frequency-controlled oscillator. After frequency tuning, a hermetic seal is provided between a cover (160) and ledge (140) to hermetically seal the cavity (148).

    摘要: A piezoelectric oscillator which is excellent in noise characteristic and aging characteristic is implemented by a piezoelectric oscillator comprising: a Colpitts oscillator including a piezoelectric resonator and an oscillation transistor; amplification means for amplifying an output of the Colpitts oscillator; and rectification means for rectifying an output of the amplification means, an output of the rectification means being fed back to base of the oscillation transistor to keep an oscillation output level constant, in which a base bias is set so as to provide the oscillation transistor with an operation point located in the vicinity of a saturation region, and in which a feedback current from the rectification means is supplied to the base of the oscillation resistor so as to make the operation point approach to the saturation region when the saturation output level has become high and so as to make the operation point go away from the saturation region when the oscillation output level has become low. As a result, a piezoelectric oscillator, which is excellent in both noise characteristic and aging characteristic, is realized.
