摘要: A method, apparatus, system, and computer readable storage medium provide the ability to identify an internet connected household (ICH). An Internet Protocol (IP) address is received at an Internet entity. Determinations are made regarding whether device activity from the IP address does not exceed a defined activity threshold, whether the IP address is associated with an ISP that provides residential internet service, and whether an IP assignment age for the IP address is greater than a defined threshold age. Based on the determinations, the IP address can be identified as belonging to an ICH or not.

摘要: System and methods for delivering geofence geometries to a physical map are disclosed. At least one user device is constructed and configured in communication with a server associated at least one database. The at least one user device receives data regarding a scale unit of the physical map and latitude and longitude of all corners of the physical map. The at least one user device converts the latitude and longitude to Internet Protocol (IP) addresses via communication with the server. The at least one user device queries the at least one database for at least one geofence geometry associated with the IP addresses. The at least one user device decouples the at least one geofence geometry from the at least one database and delivers as an overlay to the physical map.

摘要: A communication apparatus includes a processor and a memory. The processor executes computer-readable instructions stored in the memory. The instructions instruct the communication apparatus to establish a first network including the communication apparatus and a first device. The instructions instruct the communication apparatus to establish a second network including the communication apparatus and a second device. The instructions instruct the communication apparatus to determine a target IP address. Determining the target IP address includes identifying a particular IP address, which is an IP address of the communication apparatus used in the second type network. Determining the target IP address includes generating the target IP address to be within a particular range using the particular IP address. The particular range is a range of IP addresses that are not available in the second type network. The instructions instruct the communication apparatus to assign the target IP address to the first device.

摘要: In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful to use with irrigation devices connected to a multi-wire path in an irrigation system. In some embodiments, there is provided a system for use with irrigation devices including a control circuit and an application including computer program code configured to be executed by the control circuit to perform steps. The steps includes obtaining a listing of unique addresses not already assigned to irrigation zones, each unique address corresponding to a respective one of the irrigation devices, the irrigation devices connected to the multi-wire path of the irrigation system; and assigning each unique address of the listing of unique addresses sequentially to available irrigation zones.

The display apparatus includes a display, a memory to store one or more instructions, and a processor configured to execute the one or more instructions stored in the memory. The processor executes the one or more instructions to receive a request for a connection with an electronic apparatus, identify a host address in an Internet protocol (IP) address of the display apparatus by referring to a subnet mask of the display apparatus, convert the identified host address into a string comprising one or more characters according to a predefined scheme, display the string on the display, receive a connection request from the electronic apparatus based on representation of the IP address of the display apparatus according to the string displayed on the display, and establish the connection with the electronic apparatus having transmitted the request for the connection.

The identification code may be stored in an integral memory of the device, or on an interchangeable card received in a physical interface of the MISD. The MISD may generate one or more unique identities (e.g., network addresses) from the stored identification code. The generated identities may be dynamically generated or may be securely stored in the MISD for subsequent retrieval. The generated identities may generate in accordance with an addressing scheme, a global/network setting, or as determined from a received data transmission.

A multiplicity of network devices, a database, and a server platform in network-based communication. The database stores a space-network model binding IP addresses and physical locations. The server platform is operable to generate at least one geofence in the space-network model and specify entitlements for the location-based services within the at least one geofence. The at least one geofence and specific entitlement are stored to the database. The multiplicity of network devices is configured to learn the space-network model and the at least one geofence and perform tasks based on the entitlements specified for the location-based services within the at least one geofence.

摘要: A method is provided of managing a non-static collection of machines. A first client machine runs a first communication protocol. The non-static collection of machines includes a first linear communication orbit, the first linear communication orbit comprising a sequence of machines that run the first communication protocol, and a second linear communication orbit, the second linear communication orbit comprising a sequence of machines that run a second communication protocol distinct from the first communication protocol. The first client machine receives an instruction from a server to install the second communication protocol, installs the second communication protocol, and then submits a registration request to the server. The first client machine receives, from the server, contact information of a list of potential neighbors. The first client machine then, proactively constructs and maintains a respective local segment of the second linear communication orbit.
