A drug cartridge is positioned within the housing and includes a cartridge depot channel having an occluding device that includes a ramp and a plateau. The occluding device occludes the cartridge depot channel to prevent the drug depot from moving beyond the occluding device without force applied to the drug depot sufficient to deflect the occluding device an amount to allow the drug depot to move beyond the occluding device. The drug cartridge includes an alignment boss with an end channel coaxial with the cartridge depot channel A push rod is slidably receivable in the housing and the drug cartridge to move the drug depot beyond the occluding device, into the cartridge depot channel, through the cannula and into the patient.

    摘要: Examples of the present application disclose a medication delivery apparatus comprising a first plunger, a second plunger and a container configured to receive the second plunger and at least a portion of the first plunger. The container and the second plunger define a dilution chamber that is configured to receive a diluent. The container defines a dilution chamber opening. The first plunger, the container and the second plunger define an active agent chamber that is configured to receive a pharmaceutical preparation. The second plunger comprises a one-way valve configured to control a flow of pharmaceutical preparation from the active agent chamber to the dilution chamber. The one-way valve is configured to move from a closed position to an open position upon application of a force exceeding a valve threshold force to an inlet side of the valve. The valve threshold force is less than a sum of a break loose force of the second plunger and a break loose force of the first plunger.

The cartridge includes a body, and the body includes a proximal end portion having a proximal opening, a distal end portion having a distal opening, and a bore coupling the proximal opening and the distal opening. The cartridge further includes a pierceable septum coupled to the distal opening and a plunger movably carried within the bore. A volume is disposed in the bore between the pierceable septum and the plunger. The volume has a reduced pressure, and the reduced pressure is less than atmospheric pressure. A stopper is detachably coupled to the distal opening.
