摘要: Mixing systems for producing a mixture to deliver to a treatment site. An illustrative system may comprise a needle hub, a multi-reservoir system, and a syringe. The multi-reservoir system may comprise a plunger assembly including a first plunger and a second plunger, a barrel portion including a housing defining a first reservoir in fluid communication with a first port and configured to contain a first constituent and a second reservoir configured to contain a second constituent and in fluid communication with a second port, and a cap including a port and a lumen extending therethrough. A third constituent may be injected from the syringe into the first reservoir via the port of the cap to form a precursor. Actuating the plunger assembly relative to the barrel portion may cause the precursor and the second constituent to be delivered into the needle hub.

摘要: A device for delivering a drug depot into a patient via a cannula is provided. The device includes a housing with a coupling mechanism. A drug cartridge is positioned within the housing and includes a cartridge depot channel having an occluding device that includes a ramp and a plateau. The occluding device occludes the cartridge depot channel to prevent the drug depot from moving beyond the occluding device without force applied to the drug depot sufficient to deflect the occluding device an amount to allow the drug depot to move beyond the occluding device. The drug cartridge includes an alignment boss with an end channel coaxial with the cartridge depot channel A push rod is slidably receivable in the housing and the drug cartridge to move the drug depot beyond the occluding device, into the cartridge depot channel, through the cannula and into the patient.

摘要: Examples of the present application disclose a medication delivery apparatus comprising a first plunger, a second plunger and a container configured to receive the second plunger and at least a portion of the first plunger. The container and the second plunger define a dilution chamber that is configured to receive a diluent. The container defines a dilution chamber opening. The first plunger, the container and the second plunger define an active agent chamber that is configured to receive a pharmaceutical preparation. The second plunger comprises a one-way valve configured to control a flow of pharmaceutical preparation from the active agent chamber to the dilution chamber. The one-way valve is configured to move from a closed position to an open position upon application of a force exceeding a valve threshold force to an inlet side of the valve. The valve threshold force is less than a sum of a break loose force of the second plunger and a break loose force of the first plunger.

摘要: An apparatus includes a housing, an actuator, a lock mechanism, and a medicament container. The lock mechanism selectively engages a portion of the housing such that (1) the lock mechanism is maintained in a substantially fixed position when the housing is in a first orientation and (2) the lock mechanism is removable from the housing when the housing is in a second orientation. The medicament container is moved in a proximal direction when the lock mechanism is removed from the housing to mix a first medicament portion contained within the medicament container with a second medicament portion contained within the medicament container. The actuator can be moved from a first position to a second position when the lock mechanism is removed from the housing to release energy stored within an energy storage member such that the medicament container is moved in a distal direction.

The injector includes a cartridge including a piston slidably disposed within an interior for delivering medicament within the interior through an outlet, and a driver including a plunger coupled to the piston, a source of pressurized fluid, and an actuator member for opening a flow path at least partially between the source and the plunger to advance the plunger and piston to deliver medicament from the interior. One or more sensors are operatively coupled to the plunger to measure displacement of the plunger, a processor is coupled to the sensor(s) for analyzing sensor signals to measure volume of medicament delivered from the interior, and an output device, e.g., one or more LEDs or speakers, provide outputs related to the volume of medicament delivered.

摘要: A device and method for aspirating graft tissue and delivering the graft tissue to a target delivery site (for example, when performing Descemet's membrane endothelial keratoplasty). In one embodiment, an injector comprises a cylinder and a plunger at least partially located within the cylinder, the plunger being rotatably advanceable and retractable within the cylinder. In one aspect of the embodiment, rotating the plunger in a first direction within the cylinder controllably aspirates a graft tissue into the injector and rotating the plunger in a second direction opposite the first direction controllably ejects the graft tissue from the injector.
