The salvage member may be formed from a damaged pinion shaft and includes first gear teeth proximate a first axial end and a first alignment member proximate a second axial end. The first alignment member and the second alignment member cooperate to transmit rotational motion between the first salvage member and the replacement member and/or align the salvage member relative to the replacement member.

    摘要: The production method includes a first step, a second step and a third step. In the first step, a steel material is forged by dies, whereby a forged product including a rough web part and four plate-shaped rough flange parts is produced. In the second step, at least one specified rough flange part, which is at least one of the four rough flange parts, is pressed by a first die, whereby a first bent portion bending outward in an up-down direction is formed in the specified rough flange part. In the third step, the edge of the first bent portion is pressed by a second die inward in the up-down direction, whereby the edge is deformed and a second bent portion is formed. In the third step, the edge of the specified flange part is deformed while the edge is kept from deforming in a front-rear direction.

A salient feature of the invention is that a cup-shaped base body (16) having an inverse U-shaped cross-section is deep drawn, and opposing running contact surfaces (14, 15) for high-lift cams are created on arms (4, 5) of the outer lever (1) by punching out a bottom (19) of the base body (16). Through the deep drawing method of the invention, only relatively low fabrication costs are to be expected.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a camshaft (1) having cams (3 and 4) rotatable with respect to one another about the camshaft axis (2) over limited circumferential angles, whereby an inside shaft (5) and an outside shaft (6) are arranged coaxially one inside the other. The cams (3 and 4) that are rotatable with respect to one another each consist of first cams (3) and second cams (4), whereby the first cams (3) are fixedly connected to the inside shaft (5) and the second cams (4) are fixedly connected to the outside shaft (6), each by means of a fixation device (8). It is essential to this invention that the first cams (3) each have a first through-bore (11) which is aligned with a respective second through-bore (12) in the inside shaft (5) when the first cam (3) is installed. In addition, the fixation device (8) is formed by two essentially identical fixation pins (10 and 10′) with respect to their axial longitudinal extent. The present invention also relates to a method for manufacturing such a camshaft (1).

The indentation is pressed transversely toward the tube axis into inner and outer surfaces of a wall thickness of the tube at an axial location along the tube axis and does not encircle the tube. The indentation is also disposed along the tube and beside the cam with no part of the indentation being covered by the cam and the indentation being sufficiently deep to allow access to the cylinder head bolts of the engine.
