摘要: A camshaft assembly for a vehicle valvetrain having first and second engine valves includes a camshaft, and a first camshaft cartridge axially displaceable along the camshaft and including a plurality of first cam lobes configured to selectively impart movement to the first engine valve. A second camshaft cartridge is axially displaceable along the camshaft and includes a plurality of second cam lobes configured to selectively impart movement to the second engine valve. An actuator is configured to axially displace the first camshaft cartridge along the camshaft. A coupling is between the first camshaft cartridge and the second camshaft cartridge. Axial displacement of the first camshaft cartridge selectively imparts movement to the second camshaft cartridge for axial displacement of the second camshaft cartridge.

摘要: An engine variable camshaft timing phaser (10) includes a sprocket (12) and a planetary gear assembly (14). The sprocket (12) receives rotational drive input from an engine crankshaft. The planetary gear assembly (14) includes two or more ring gears (26, 28), multiple planet gears (24), a sun gear (22), and a wrap spring (76). One of the ring gears (26, 28) receives rotational drive input from the sprocket (12) and one of the ring gears (26, 28) transmits rotational drive output to an engine camshaft. The sun gear (22) engages with the planet gears (24). The wrap spring (76) experiences expansion and contraction exertions to permit advancing and retarding engine valve opening and closing, and to prevent advancing and retarding engine valve opening and closing.

摘要: A multiple variable valve lift apparatus may include a moving cam formed in a hollow cylindrical shape into which a camshaft is inserted. In particular, the moving cam rotates together with the camshaft, moves in an axial direction of the camshaft, and includes a cam guide protrusion and a plurality of cams realizing different valve lift with each other. Moreover, the apparatus includes: an operating unit selectively guiding the cam guide protrusion; a controller controlling the operating unit; a valve opening/closing unit contacting with any one cam of the cams; and at least two pins disposed at the operating unit so as to guide the cam guide protrusion. The cam guide protrusion includes an inserted portion being selectively inserted between the pins and a shift portion.

摘要: A tappet assembly for use in translating force between a camshaft lobe and a fuel pump assembly via reciprocal movement within a tappet cylinder having a guide slot. The tappet assembly includes a bearing assembly having a shaft and a bearing rotatably supported by the shaft for engaging the lobe. An intermediate element has a first aperture, a shelf for engaging the fuel pump assembly, and a pair of arc-shaped bearing surfaces rotatably engaging the shaft when the bearing engages the lobe and the shelf engages the fuel pump assembly. An annular body has a second aperture and at least one stop member abutting the intermediate element to align the first aperture with the second aperture. An anti-rotation clip is disposed so as to extend through the apertures and cooperates with the stop member to substantially prevent rotational and axial movement of the intermediate element with respect to the body.

Each rocker arm includes a support portion and a pressing portion (distal end portion). The support portion is rockably supported by a cylinder head. The pressing portion is configured to press a stem of the corresponding intake valve. The support portion of one of the rocker arms deviates to one side in an axis X direction (cam axial direction) with respect to the distal end portion. The support portion of the other one of the rocker arms deviates to the other side in the axis X direction with respect to the distal end portion.
