    摘要: A combustion engine for a vehicle includes a first centrifugal device for varying timing of a first plurality of suction or relief valves with respect to the drive shaft. A driving disc is mounted idle on a first camshaft which controls the valves, and at least one driven disc is integral with the camshaft. Drive elements for transmitting motion from the driving disc to the driven disc are interposed between the two discs causing a relative rotation of the driven disc with respect to the driving disc when the rotation speed of the discs exceeds a predetermined threshold. A distribution system connects the drive shaft with the driving disc so as to cause the rotation thereof. A second gear meshes with a first gear so that rotation of the driving disc mounted on the first camshaft causes the rotation of the second camshaft to control other valves of the engine.

    摘要: An internal combustion engine includes, among other things, a backlash adjusting device. An eccentric supporting shaft is disposed in an internal combustion engine so as to be able to be fixed at a predetermined rotational angle position about a central axis. The shaft adjusts an amount of clearance between a pair of gears, and is fitted over a base shaft fixed to the internal combustion engine such that the central axis of the eccentric supporting shaft coincides with an axis of the base shaft. An adjusting portion allows an inner circumference of the eccentric shaft to be fitted over an outer circumference of the base shaft at a predetermined rotational angle position. A fixing portion is configured to fix the eccentric supporting shaft to the base shaft.

    摘要: A camshaft phaser includes a housing with an array of internal splines formed within a bore. A harmonic gear drive unit is disposed within the housing and includes a circular spline and a dynamic spline, a flexspline disposed radially within the circular spline and the dynamic spline, a wave generator disposed radially within the flexspline, and a rotational actuator connectable to the wave generator. One of the circular spline and the dynamic spline is fixed to the housing. A hub is rotatably disposed radially within the housing and attachable to the camshaft and fixed to the other of the circular spline and the dynamic spline. A back plate has an array of external splines engaged in a sliding fit with the array of internal splines for transmitting torque from the back plate to said housing. The back plate also has an input sprocket for receiving rotational motion, in use.
