Abstract: A hybrid vehicle control method controls a hybrid vehicle. In this control method, a rotational speed command value for a power generation system is determined in accordance with a state of a drive system, a torque command value is determined for the power generation system such that the rotational speed of the power generation system reaches the rotational speed command value, a damping control is performed to suppress a characteristic vibration component generated in a connection between the engine and the power generator to calculate a final torque command value for the power generation system, and the torque command value is set as the final torque command value without performing the damping control upon determining a system resonance can occur that is caused by vibration of a component different from the characteristic vibration component.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for adjusting noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) limits for a vehicle based on an occupancy level of the vehicle. The occupancy level is inferred based on a number of occupants and their position within a vehicle, and further based on a degree of interaction of a primary occupant with vehicle controls. As the occupancy level decreases, NVH constraints for operating the vehicle are reduced and one or more vehicle operating parameters nay be based on the reduced NVH constraints.

Abstract: A driving force controller for vehicle includes a driving force calculator and a driving controller. The driving force calculator calculates an instructed driving force, and includes a first determination unit that determines whether or not a predicted driving force satisfies a first condition. The predicted driving force assumes that the instructed driving force calculated on a first control cycle is changed at a rate of change calculated on the first control cycle, until a second control cycle. The first condition includes that a range between the instructed driving force calculated on the first control cycle and the predicted driving force at least partly cover a first range including a zero driving force. The driving force calculator imposes limitation on the rate of change in the instructed driving force to be calculated in the second control cycle, on the condition that the first condition is satisfied.

Abstract: A method to control a road vehicle during a slip of the drive wheels, which are caused to rotate by an internal combustion engine provided with a plurality of cylinders arranged in two banks, and with a plurality of fuel injectors each injecting fuel into a corresponding cylinder. The control method comprises the steps of: detecting a slip of at least one drive wheel; and controlling the internal combustion engine, only during a slip of at least one drive wheel, with a signalling law, which causes the internal combustion engine to work in an abnormal manner so as to generate an abnormal vibration and/or an abnormal noise, which can be perceived by the driver. The internal combustion engine has two twin control units, each of which is associated with a corresponding bank, controls all and the sole injectors of its own bank and actuates the signalling law completely independently of and autonomously from the other control unit.
