    Abstract: A driving force controller for vehicle includes a driving force calculator and a driving controller. The driving force calculator calculates an instructed driving force, and includes a first determination unit that determines whether or not a predicted driving force satisfies a first condition. The predicted driving force assumes that the instructed driving force calculated on a first control cycle is changed at a rate of change calculated on the first control cycle, until a second control cycle. The first condition includes that a range between the instructed driving force calculated on the first control cycle and the predicted driving force at least partly cover a first range including a zero driving force. The driving force calculator imposes limitation on the rate of change in the instructed driving force to be calculated in the second control cycle, on the condition that the first condition is satisfied.

    Abstract: A method to control a road vehicle during a slip of the drive wheels, which are caused to rotate by an internal combustion engine provided with a plurality of cylinders arranged in two banks, and with a plurality of fuel injectors each injecting fuel into a corresponding cylinder. The control method comprises the steps of: detecting a slip of at least one drive wheel; and controlling the internal combustion engine, only during a slip of at least one drive wheel, with a signalling law, which causes the internal combustion engine to work in an abnormal manner so as to generate an abnormal vibration and/or an abnormal noise, which can be perceived by the driver. The internal combustion engine has two twin control units, each of which is associated with a corresponding bank, controls all and the sole injectors of its own bank and actuates the signalling law completely independently of and autonomously from the other control unit.

    Abstract: A vehicle control device controls a vehicle including an internal combustion engine, an electric motor, a drive wheel, and a lock-up clutch provided in a power transmission path from the internal combustion engine and the electric motor to the drive wheel. The vehicle control device is configured to: not execute a motor vibration damping control and a slip vibration damping control in a non-vibration damping region; execute the motor vibration damping control and the slip vibration damping control in a first vibration damping region in a high load state or a low rotation speed state; and execute the motor vibration damping control and not execute the slip vibration damping control in a second vibration damping region in a medium load state or a medium rotation speed state.

To improve the energy conversion efficiency of the machine, pulse control involves determining if the machine should operate in a continuous mode or pulse mode, and if the latter, defining a magnitude, duty cycle, and frequency for the pulses. One or more tables, indexing by a wide range of speeds and torque requests, is/are used to define the pulsing frequency or a pulsing frequency pattern.

    Abstract: A power generation control device includes: an internal combustion engine of a vehicle; a generator driven by the internal combustion engine to generate electricity; a power storage device charged by the generator; a gear mechanism that interconnects the internal combustion engine and the generator; a detection unit for detecting vehicle information of the vehicle; a power generation controller that sets a target power generation amount of the generator based on the vehicle information and calculates a target rotational speed of the internal combustion engine and a load torque of the generator according to the target power generation amount; and a rattle suppression controller which determines whether a rattle suppression control condition of the gear mechanism is satisfied or not based on the target power generation amount and raises the target rotational speed of the internal combustion engine to a predetermined rotation number when the condition is satisfied.
