    摘要: A multi-axle transport trailer having a plurality of axles includes a suspension comprising air bags associated with each axle, the air bags in communication with an air source, wherein air bags associated with different axles are capable of having different air pressures therein. The trailer further optionally includes a steering system associated with at least one axle, the axle including a tie rod connected between wheels on both ends of the axle, the steering system comprising cylinders configured to articulate the wheels, and a sensing device configured to monitor movement of the tie rod and facilitate actuating the cylinders to turn the wheels.

    摘要: A steering system and method of a mowing vehicle comprise Left and right rear wheels rotating about a king pin for steering the vehicle, an Ackermann steering mechanism for steering these left and right rear wheels and a rear axle housing swingably connected with the vehicle about a yawing axis in a horizontal plane by use of a hydraulic cylinder. When the vehicle makes a U-turn for example to the right during the mowing work, the rear axle housing is fully swung to the left in the horizontal plane by a specified angle and fixed therein while the left and right rear wheels are held at the neutral position. After the rear axle housing is fixed at that angle, the left and right rear wheels are rotated about the king pin to the left and then the vehicle makes a U-turn to the right. When the vehicle finishes to turn, the left and right rear wheels are rotated about the king pin to the right until the neutral position and then the rear axle housing is swung in the horizontal plane back to the right until the neutral position. When the vehicle makes a U-turn to the left, the same operations are carried out. Since the rear wheels are steered after the rear axle housing is swung in the horizontal plane and fixed, the vehicle can make a U-turn with a minimal turning radius, retaining the Ackermann steering condition and the lawn can be prevented from being damaged by the wheels.

    摘要: A four-wheel steering system for an automotive vehicle includes a front wheel steering mechanism operable in response to a steering effort applied thereto to steer a pair of dirigible front road wheels, a rear wheel steering mechanism including an axially displaceable operation rod operatively connected at the opposite ends thereof with a pair of dirigible rear road wheels to steer the rear road wheels, and a connecting mechanism assembled in combination with the rear wheel steering mechanism and being drivingly connected to the front wheel steering mechanism for effecting axial displacement of the operation rod in response to operation of the front wheel steering mechanism and for controlling the steering angle ratio and direction of the rear road wheels relative to the front road wheels. The rear wheel steering mechanism is in the form of a power assisted steering mechanism which includes a hydraulic power cylinder integrally provided with the operation rod, and a control valve operatively connected to the connecting mechanism and the operation rod to control fluid under pressure supplied into the power cylinder in accordance with the mode of operation of the connecting mechanism.

    摘要: A vehicle four wheel steering system including a rear wheel steering mechanism with a power assist device. The rear wheel steering mechanism includes a steering rod extending transversely of the vehicle and having the opposite ends connected with tie rods which are in turn connected with knuckle arms of the rear wheels. The steering rod is provided with a power cylinder in which a piston is slidably disposed. The piston is provided on the steering rod and defines hydraulic chambers in the cylinder. A control valve is provided to control hydraulic oil supply to the power cylinder. The control valve has a casing which is connected with the steering rod through an interconnecting section and hydraulic oil passages are formed in the interconnecting section for passing hydraulic oil to and from the power cylinder.

    摘要: A steering gear with steering drop arm, steering tie rod and steering gear connecting tie rod for a vehicle, which is drivable on wheels on the road and terrain, with a steering mechanism which is actuated selectively hydraulically supported mechanically or purely hydraulically by means of hydraulic cylinders and electromagnetic valves, whereby changing from the hydraulically supported system to the purely hydraulically operating system is by means of a selective connection of a universal shaft, which is connected with the steering wheel, with one of the two systems which serve the actuation of the steering mechanism. A hydraulic pump, driven by a drive motor, and acting on both systems, is connected with a first control valve via a line, a flow control- and pressure limit- valve and a line. On the one hand a line leads from the first control valve to a steering transmission, the latter being actuated by the steering gear by means of universal shaft. Lines lead from the steering transmission to a second control valve. The latter is connected with the hydraulic cylinders of the front axle. On the other hand a line leads from the first control valve to a steering valve which is actuated by means of the steering gear and the universal shaft. Pressurized oil either via a line to a third control valve and via a line therefrom flows to the hydraulic cylinders of the front axle, or via a line to a fourth control valve and via a line therefrom, the third control valve and a line flows to the hydraulic cylinders. Or pressurized oil either the line to the third control valve and via the line therefrom to the hydraulic cylinders of the front axle as well as via a line to the third control valve and via a line therefrom, the fourth control valve and a line flows to the hydraulic cylinders of the rear axle, or the pressurized oil via the line to the fourth control valve and via a line to the hydraulic cylinders of the rear axle as well as via a line to the fourth control valve and via a line, the third control valve and a line flows to the hydraulic cylinders of the front axle.

    摘要: This invention relates to an improvement in a wheeled vehicle upon which is mounted a crane or fork lift. More particularly, this invention relates to a wheeled vehicle for conveying loads including a machine bed upon which are mounted three wheel fitting yokes, one rear and two front, to which wheels are respectively attached in the rear center and both front sides of the machine bed as to revolve freely and independently. For steering purposes, an oil pressure power cylinder is connected to each of the wheel fitting yokes through a rack and pinion gear and for locomotion an oil pressure motor furnishes power to the wheels. The wheels may be moved along a circle which passes through the point of ground contact of each wheel, thereby rotating the wheeled vehicle about a circular path centered near the middle of the vehicle. Alternatively, the wheel fitting yokes may be oriented for sidewise motion of the wheeled vehicle.
