摘要: A vehicle wheel positioning and steering apparatus particularly useful for aerial work platforms comprises a support chassis and chassis support legs pivotally connected to the chassis. Steerable wheel assemblies are operably connected at ends of the support legs and powered actuators are operably connected to the chassis and legs for pivotally moving the legs and wheel assemblies relative to the chassis between transport and working positions. Variable length linear wheel steering actuators comprise one link of four bar parallelogram steering linkages between the chassis and wheel assemblies and the support legs each comprise second bars of the four bar parallelogram steering linkages.

The mining vehicle has a rectifier, DC intermediate circuit, and inverter, through which an alternating current motor is supplied. At least one auxiliary energy source is connected to the DC intermediate circuit. A DC/DC converter is connected between the DC intermediate circuit and the auxiliary energy source for adapting the voltage level of the auxiliary energy source and for connecting the auxiliary energy source to supply energy to the DC intermediate circuit.

摘要: A concealable baggage caster comprises a caster housing fastened to the bottom edge of a baggage and provided therein with a space for housing a caster and a caster frame. The caster housing is provided respectively in the left and the right side walls thereof with an elongate slot, a pivoting hole and a locating hole. The caster is pivoted between the two lugs of the caster frame which is mounted on a shaft received in the pivoting holes of the caster housing and the pivoting holes of the caster frame. An action plate is fastened pivotally to the action holes of the caster frame. Two guiding pieces and two fevers are pivoted respectively on the two pivoting shafts which are slidably received in the elongate slots of the caster housing. Each of two levers has a central fulcrum hole dimensioned to receive therein a shaft which is also received in the locating holes of the caster housing. The two levers are jointly provided with a pivoting point fastened pivotally with one end of an inner control rod of a drag frame of the baggage.

摘要: Drive and steering attachments for application to and use with scaffold units of the type used in connection with construction and maintenance activities. A reversible drive motor associated with one scaffold support drive and steered wheel propels the scaffold and a motorized steering apparatus having an operative anchor that is fixed with respect to the scaffold unit moves the drive and steered wheel pivotally with respect to a vertically disposed axis of said scaffold for the directional control of said scaffold. The drive and steering motors are connected to a control panel that is movable to various elevated and/or remote locations. A power cord having a pivotally mounted and spring biased trailing arm is attached to the scaffold to prevent trapping of or damage to the power cord.

A vehicle equipped with such an axle is described.

摘要: A new, useful and compact wheel motor drive arrangement for applications on such construction equipment as scissor lifts and other similar scaffolding equipment where hydraulically driven systems have historically been used to provide power to the wheels to move the equipment is disclosed. An electric motor is mounted to a spindle bracket which is pivotably connected to the frame of the equipment to allow the unit to be pivoted around a vertical axis for steering purposes. A gear reducing planetary gear system is mounted around the drive shaft of the motor is positioned totally within the rotating wheel hub. The output ring gear of the planetary gear system is integrally formed to the interior of the wheel hub so that there is a direct application through the planetary gear system to the wheel hub to provide greater efficiency.

摘要: A castor assembly for a scaffold tower or similar structure needs to be provided with a brake. In this construction the brake comprises various forms of rotary cam, e.g. an eccentrically-mounted cylinder, a lobed cam and preferably formed with one or more ribs for gripping purposes. The cam may be in contact with the wheel to remove grit, etc. On movement of the wheel and wheel carrier into the braked position the cam pivots into a position where it is wedged between the swivel of the castor assembly and the wheel periphery. Thus movement of the assembly about the vertical swivel axis and rotation of the wheel about its horizontal axis is prevented.
