摘要: A system may comprise one or more processors, and a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, causing the system to perform receiving, from a first sensor coupled to a front part of a vehicle, a first set of sensor data that include data of a first edge of a body part, or from a second sensor coupled to the front part of the vehicle, a second set of sensor data that include data of a second edge of the body part. The system may perform calculating, based on the first or second set of the sensor data, location of the first edge or the second edge of the body part relative to the front part, and determining whether the relative location of the first edge or the second edge is within an expected location range. The system may perform sending a notification that driving adjustment of the vehicle is required if the relative location is outside the expected location range.

摘要: A vehicular trailer guidance system includes an electronic control unit (ECU) and a rear backup camera disposed at a vehicle. A human machine interface (HMI) is operable in (i) a trailer left-backup mode, (i) a trailer straight-backup mode and (iii) a trailer right-backup mode. Responsive to selection by the driver of the trailer left-backup mode or trailer right-backup mode, the ECU sets a desired trailer angle of the trailer tongue leftward or rightward to an angle that is commensurate with a driver-selected setting of an input device. Responsive to selection by the driver of the trailer straight-backup mode, the ECU sets the desired trailer angle to a zero degree angle. The ECU, while the vehicle is backing up the trailer, controls the power steering system of the vehicle to steer the vehicle to back up the trailer to have the determined trailer angle coincide with the set desired trailer angle.

摘要: A system for assisting in aligning a vehicle for hitching with a trailer includes a steering system that adjusts a steering angle of the vehicle, a braking system that adjusts a speed of the vehicle, an imaging system that receives image data of a trailer disposed in an area proximate the vehicle, and a controller. The controller detects, within a threshold distance defined from a stationary point on the vehicle and the trailer, a position of a coupler from the image data, and, responsive to the position being less than the threshold distance, a status of the trailer based on the image data being indicative of a position of a hitch ball relative to the coupler within a second threshold. The controller maneuvers, via the steering and braking systems, the vehicle based on the status.

The ECU may receive a signal that one or more reverse lights of the towing vehicle are lit or on. The ECU may be configured to actuate the power steering mechanism to steer the one or more wheels to a straight position upon receiving the signal.

摘要: Backing up and aligning tractor trailers to a loading dock is one of the most complicated tasks performed by a truck driver. The present invention provides aids, and/or autonomy, to the driver in both conditions: the warehouse, and the less structured origin/destination. The invention is designed to aid the driver with facilities to simplify the parking and loading dock alignment process. The invention controls the drive-by-wire system in the truck, controlling the steering, gearbox, acceleration, and break, to automatically back up the truck into the desired location. This is possible if the truck is equipped with a drive-by-wire kit. The invention controls one or more control signals to the drive-by-wire system while the driver controls the others. In the present invention, a system is developed that is designed to autonomously or semi-autonomously guide a driver to a dock or parking location which is comprised of a sensor or sensors that collect a map of the dock or desired parking area, a user interface that allows the operator to select a doc k, or a feature in the map and determine the final pose of the tractor and trailer, a planner that creates a kinematically correct and obstacle free trajectory from the current location to the desired location and a set of user aids, including a ground guide avatar or avatars that provide the distance to the dock, speed and turning direction, or other guidance.

摘要: A method for determining a length of a trailer attached to a tow vehicle having one or more sensors positioned on a back portion of the tow vehicle facing the trailer is disclosed. The method includes receiving, at a data processing hardware in communication with the one or more sensors, first sensor data associated with a first position of the tow vehicle. The method includes receiving, at the data processing hardware, second sensor data associated with a second position of the tow vehicle. The second position is different from the first position. The method also includes receiving, at the data processing hardware, third sensor data associated with a third position of the tow vehicle. The third position is different from the first position and the second position. The method includes determining, at the data processing hardware, a length of the trailer based on the first, second, and third sensor data.
