    摘要: A tooling apparatus for applying a tape material to a pre-formed insert is provided. The tooling apparatus comprises at least one guiding element coupled to an apparatus frame. An attachment shaft defines a rotational axis and extends through the guiding element. The attachment shaft includes an attachment element for securing the pre-formed insert thereto. An activation element is operatively engaged with the attachment shaft to rotate the pre-formed insert about the rotational axis at a predetermined rotation rate. A tape control assembly is spaced from the attachment shaft for axial translation along a tape control axis at a predetermined translation rate. Rotation of the pre-formed insert about the rotational axis and translation of the tape control element at the predetermined translation rate causes the material to be drawn under tension from the tape control assembly and applied to the pre-formed insert in a plurality of layers.

    摘要: A roll tensioner for use in maintaining a wrapping material cut edge of a wrapping material retained on a wrapping material roll located within a wrapping material box having an interior cavity with an interior front wall with a top cutting edge. The roll tensioner comprises a thin, flexible main body having distal and proximal end sections separated by a spring back reversion section, and formed having a first side and a second side. Attachment means, preferably an adhesive, is located on at least a portion of the proximal end section on the first side adapted to attach the proximal end section to the interior front wall of the wrapping material box. The spring back reversion section is composed of a material that has an immediate elastic response to a static load and is capable of substantially full recovery when the static load is removed. The distal end mechanically bends downward by way of the spring back reversion section in the interior cavity of the wrapping material box. The distal end section is adapted to rest against the wrapping material proximal to the wrapping material cut edge to retain the wrapping material cut edge in an upward, substantially parallel position to the interior front wall of the wrapping material box for easy grasping of the wrapping material cut edge by an end user.

A sliding handle unit having a first handle segment, a second handle segment and a hollow interior channel is slidingly positioned along the elongated shaft, and functions as a guide for dispensing the stretch film. A ring shaped member having a high friction material along one surface is disposed between the handle segments, and each handle segment includes an outside dimension that is positionable within the central channel of the roll of stretch film.

This beneficially reduces slippage of the film wrap when it is being used to wrap a load.

A roll of interleaf material is rotatably positioned within the box such that a free end of the interleaf material can extend through the dispensing opening, and a roll of expandable sheet material in an unexpanded form is rotatably positioned within the box adjacent the first roll of sheet material such that a free end of the expandable sheet material can extend through the dispensing opening. A tensioning assembly is operably associated with the roll of expandable sheet material to control rotational resistance thereof. The interleaf material and the expandable sheet material can be concurrently pulled out of the box in abutting contact by a user and the rotational resistance of the roll of expandable sheet material causes the expandable sheet material to expand in thickness and length.
