摘要: The present disclosure provides a converter CO2—O2 mixed injection smelting method and a fire point area temperature dynamic control method. The method realizes online monitoring through an infrared temperature sensor installed inside an oxygen lance, dynamically adjusts the mixing ratio of CO2 and O2 and the height of the oxygen lance position according to the fire point area temperature changes and process requirements in different smelting stages, so that the secondary smelting system interlockingly and dynamically controls the fire point area temperature and the molten pool heating rate.

摘要: A top-blowing lance includes a refining oxygen gas blowing nozzle having a plurality of ejection openings through which oxygen gas is blown into an iron bath in a reaction vessel, the ejection openings being disposed along a circular orbit at intervals, and a burner nozzle having an axis coaxial with the central axis of the circular orbit, forming a flame inside the refining oxygen gas blowing nozzle, and having ejection openings for blowing a powder heated by the flame into the iron bath, wherein an indicator A that indicates the positional relationship between the ejection openings of the refining oxygen gas blowing nozzle and the ejection openings of the burner nozzle satisfies the specified conditions.

摘要: A method of refining a ferroalloy includes the step of blowing molecular oxygen or a gas mixture including molecular oxygen into a melt of the ferroalloy. A metallurgically acceptable particulate material is introduced from above into the melt. The particulate material is carried into the melt in a first supersonic gas jet which travels to the melt shrouded by a second gas jet.

摘要: A metal making lance tip assembly including a tip face member having a plurality of outlets, a plurality of nozzles corresponding in number and in communication with the tip face member outlets, and a coolant flow baffle member for directing coolant flow around the nozzles. The lance tip assembly further includes both a generally centrally disposed coolant fluid diverting protrusion and a plurality of radial vanes at the inner surface of the lance tip face member, which vanes preferably extend essentially the entire axial distance between the inner surface of the lance tip face member and a lower surface of the coolant flow baffle member and essentially the entire radial distance from the central protrusion to an annular coolant fluid return passageway.

摘要: A heat pipe assembly (10/110), under vacuum and having a working substance charged therein, comprising generally an evaporator (12/112) adapted to evaporate the working fluid and a condenser (16/116). The heat exchanging condenser is in fluid flow communication with the evaporator. The condenser is adapted to condense evaporated working substance received from the evaporator and has a reservoir (30/130), located at a higher elevation than the evaporator, for collecting liquid working fluid therein. A discrete, impermeable liquid return passage (36/136, 20/120) permitting the flow, by gravity, of the liquid working substance from the reservoir to the evaporator. The liquid return passage extends through the evaporator and terminates near the closed leading end thereof, and is fitted with a vent line (38/138) that diverts ascending vapor to the top of the condenser. A flow modifier (24/124) is positioned within the evaporator, causing swirling working fluid flow in the evaporator, whereby the flow modifier ensures that un-vaporized liquid entrained with evaporated working substance is propelled against inner surfaces (23/123) of the evaporator by centrifugal force to ensure liquid coverage of the inner surfaces, thereby delaying onset of film boiling.

摘要: An injection lance to stir, trim and rinse a molten metal, such as liquid steel. A gas, or a gas and one or more powdered/granular metallurgical agents, may be introduced into the molten metal through the injection lance. The injection lance includes a plurality of interconnecting components. The components include at least one body section and one end section. Each section includes a center pipe and a refractory shell surrounding the center pipe. The body section(s) and end section provide a conduit for the gas or gas plus powdered/granular metallurgical agents. In a preferred embodiment, at least a portion of one of the refractory shells is made of a refractory composition that is isopressed around the center pipe.
