    摘要: A hydrodynamic thrust bearing pad includes a composite laminate including at least one ply including a plurality of fibers oriented in at least one direction, and a bearing surface configured to confront a rotating thrust surface of a rotating shaft for transmitting axial thrust loads from the rotating shaft to the composite laminate. The bearing pad also includes a support surface configured to confront a stationary surface of a stationary housing for transmitting the axial thrust loads from the composite laminate to the stationary housing, and at least one side surface extending between the bearing and support surfaces. The at least one ply is configured to expand non-uniformly when heated from a first temperature to a second temperature for causing the composite laminate to warp from an unstressed state to a stressed state.

The thrust bearing assembly further includes a washer disposed between the thrust plate and the bearing. The third thrust surface faces the first thrust surface for engagement with the first thrust surface, and the fourth thrust surface faces the second thrust surface for engagement with the second thrust surface.

The component body has a recess into which the rotating shaft is rotatably inserted. The inner protrusion protrudes from a wall portion of the recess facing an end surface of the rotating shaft. The inner protrusion receives an axial load by the rotating shaft. The outer protrusions protrude from an outer surface of the component body opposite to the recess. The one or more outer protrusions are in contact with a holding unit. A contact portion between the outer protrusions and the holding unit is offset from a contact portion position between the inner protrusion and the end surface. The contact portion between at least one of the outer protrusions and the holding unit has a non-planar shape.

    摘要: A thrust balancing mechanism for balancing axial loads on a rotor thrust bearing 3 is described. The mechanism comprises a piston arrangement 6 axially mounted on a stationary structure 2, about a center axis arranged, in use, in coaxial alignment with a rotating shaft 1 carrying the rotor thrust bearing 3. A hydrodynamic thrust bearing 8 is mounted, in use, between the piston 6 and the rotor thrust bearing 3. The piston 6 is pressurized so as to impart to the rotor thrust bearing 3, via the hydrodynamic thrust bearing 8, an axial load which counters an axial load imparted to the rotor thrust bearing 3 by the rotating shaft 1.

    摘要: A method and system for permanently attaching a take-up screw for taking-up the axial clearance of the armature shaft of a windscreen wiper motor are disclosed. The take-up screw is screwed axially into a bore in the motor base (SM) until the screw reaches a stop position in relation to the armature shaft locked in the screw. At least one surface discontinuity is provided in the bore and/or the thread of the screw, allowing the screw to be screwed into the bore until it reaches the stop position. The screw is screwed into the bore until the stop position is reached and a screw- and/or motor base-deformation strain is applied at the discontinuity in order to deform the side surface of the screw and/or motor base (SM) and permanently attach the screw and/or motor base by wedging in the discontinuity.
