    摘要： An accessory drive pulley assembly is configured to transfer rotational power from an engine crankshaft to one or more vehicle accessories. The accessory drive pulley has an inner race rotatable about an axis and having an outer surface. An outer race is located radially outward from the inner race and has an inner surface facing the inner race. A wedge plate is located radially between the outer surface and the inner surface. The wedge plate is configured to expand and contract radially to selectively lock and unlock the inner race with the outer race. When locked, an associated pulley can rotate at a different speed than when unlocked.

    摘要： A drive pulley for a CVT has a fixed sheave, a fixed sheave shaft fixedly connected to the fixed sheave, a movable sheave, a movable sheave shaft fixedly connected to the movable sheave, a spider and at least one centrifugal actuator. The fixed sheave shaft is disposed at least in part inside the movable sheave shaft. The movable sheave is disposed axially between the spider and the fixed sheave. A biasing member biases the movable sheave axially away from the fixed sheave. A torque transfer assembly is operatively connected to at least one of the fixed sheave and the movable sheave. The torque transfer assembly transfers torque between the fixed sheave and the movable sheave. The biasing member, the at least one centrifugal actuator and the torque transfer assembly are disposed radially outward of the fixed and movable sheave shafts.

    摘要： A pulley has a hub and a rim. The hub is configured to be mountable on a driving shaft. A driving connection between the hub and rim is provided. In a first embodiment, a drive mechanism is operable to configure the rim between a circular profile and a non-circular profile. The non-circular profile produces a counteracting torque to offset load torques produced by the engine. The drive mechanism can be electrical, inertial, hydraulic or any combination thereof. In a second embodiment, the rim is fixed with a non-circular profile.

The power shaft includes a shaft including a normal belt position portion adapted for receiving a belt and a reduced diameter portion formed on the shaft and located adjacent to the normal belt position portion. The belt can move into the reduced diameter portion of the power shaft during operation and the reduced diameter portion creates an alignment tension force on the belt that operates to return the belt to the normal belt position portion.

    摘要： A variable ratio drive pulley of the type employed in snowmobiles to transmit a drive from the snowmobile engine to a variable ratio belt drive transmission has a fixed flange and an opposed movable flange which cooperate to drive the belt. The drive pulley is coupled to rotate with the engine crankshaft and the movable flange incorporates centrifugal weights that operate to advance it towards the fixed flange, with a force that increases with speed of rotation to grip the transmission belt between the flanges and apply a driving torque thereto, this torque being applied by both the flanges. To reduce the effects of engine induced vibrations on the centrifugal weights and on the movable flange, a damping structure is incorporated in the torque path between the engine crankshaft and the centrifugal weights and movable flange. The damping structure comprises a hexagonal rubber ring that is positioned between a driving head and the hub of the drive pulley to absorb vibrations which would otherwise be transmitted between these.
