摘要: An electronic device include: a first housing; a second housing; a display module including a flexible substrate, a TFT layer on the flexible substrate, a protection layer on the TFT layer, and a deformation region which deforms as a relative position between the first housing and the second housing changes; a bending portion including a first layer integral with the flexible substrate and bent, and a second layer integral with the TFT layer, bent and laminated on the first layer; a display driver IC (DDI) in the bending portion; a touch wire on the protection layer to be connected to a touch circuit; and a detection wire on the protection layer in the deformation region and having an electrical value changeable by physical damage to the protection layer. The detection wire extends from the protection layer to the second layer so as to be electrically connected to the DDI.

摘要: A belt for an elevator system includes a plurality of tension members arranged along a belt width and extending longitudinally along a length of the belt, each tension member including a plurality of fibers. A metallized coating layer is applied to at least a portion of an outer surface of at least one tension member of the plurality of tension members. The metallized coating has a coating electrical conductivity greater than a tension member electrical conductivity of the at least one tension member. A jacket material at least partially encapsulates the plurality of tension members and the metallized coating layer.

摘要: A composition comprising: (i) an electrically non-conductive fiber having a surface; and (ii) piezoelectric particles adhered to the surface of said electrically non-conductive fiber, and optionally, (iii) a sizing agent (e.g., epoxy) coated over the piezoelectric particles and surface of the electrically non-conductive fiber. Also described are composites in which the above fiber composition is embedded within a matrix, e.g., a polymer, ceramic, or glassy carbon matrix. Also described is a method for producing a passive sensing fiber composition by: coating a fiber having a surface with a liquid suspension containing piezoelectric particles suspended in a solvent; and removing the solvent to result in the piezoelectric particles adhered to the surface of the fiber. Also described are methods for detecting formation of defects in a material and methods of generating electrical energy from ambient vibration by use of the above described fiber compositions and composites thereof.

摘要: A method and system of assessing a condition of a boiler is disclosed. The assessing of the condition of the boiler establishes a baseline resistivity of a boiler waterwall for a first location of the boiler waterwall under a known temperature condition. A resistivity of the first location is measured under another temperature condition. The measured resistivity for the first location is compared to the baseline resistivity. A condition of the waterwall of the boiler is determined based on the comparison.

摘要: Systems and methods for detecting defects in pipelines are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method for detecting defects in pipelines includes: generating an electrical signal in a first pipeline by a signal generator electrically connected with the first pipeline and a second pipeline. A reflected signal is acquired by data acquisition equipment electrically connected with the first pipeline and the second pipeline. The reflected signal at least partially reflects from a defect in the first pipeline or the second pipeline. The method also includes analyzing the reflected signal to determine at least one of a location of the defect and a severity of the defect. In some embodiments, the first pipeline and a second pipeline are connected with a shunt cable.
