摘要: An aircraft includes an airframe with a thrust array attached thereto. The thrust array includes a plurality of propulsion assemblies that are independently controlled by a flight control system. A landing gear assembly is coupled to the airframe and includes a plurality of landing feet. An altitude sensor array includes a plurality of altitude sensors each of which is disposed within one of the landing feet such that when the aircraft is in the VTOL orientation, the altitude sensor array is configured to obtain multifocal altitude data relative to a landing surface. The flight control system is configured to generate a three-dimensional terrain map of the surface based upon the multifocal altitude data.

摘要: A ground-based radar system for weather sensing and aircraft tracking includes a ground-based radar that is configured to scan a volume of space associated with a particular aircraft for detecting a weather event in the volume of space, and an electronic control system that is configured to control the ground-based radar. The control system is adapted to track the particular aircraft via tracking data associated with the particular aircraft, and is adapted to detect the weather event via weather data associated with signals from the ground-based radar. The control system is configured to control the ground-based radar to adjust the scan of the volume of space in response to at least the tracking data associated with the particular aircraft being tracked. A geographically diverse radar network that includes multiple ground-based radar systems that communicate with each other also is provided.

摘要: A method for use in acoustic imaging, comprising: transmitting, from a transmitter, a first sound wave pulse at a first frequency determined by a maximum sampling rate of a receiver; transmitting at least one second sound wave pulse at a frequency substantially equal to the first frequency, the first and at least one second sound wave pulses being transmitted substantially within a fraction of a sample interval of the receiver; receiving and sampling, at the receiver, a reflection of at least two of the first and at least one second pulses to generate a set of receiver samples; and expanding the set of receiver samples, based on the first frequency and a total number of the first and at least one second pulses transmitted, to generate an expanded sample set with a larger number of samples than the set of receiver samples.

A method of transmitting a radar waveform is also disclosed.

摘要: In this object recognition device, an association between a first object detection result and a second object detection result is taken in a region excluding an occlusion area. When the first object detection result and the second object detection result are determined to be detection results for an identical object, a recognition result of the surrounding object is calculated from the first object detection result and the second object detection result. Thus, occurrences of erroneous recognition of an object can be decreased as compared to a conventional object recognition device of a vehicle.

摘要: Methods, apparatus and systems for wireless proximity sensing are described. In one example, a described system comprises: a transmitter configured for transmitting a first wireless signal through a wireless multipath channel of a venue; a receiver configured for receiving a second wireless signal through the wireless multipath channel; and a processor. The second wireless signal differs from the first wireless signal due to the wireless multipath channel that is impacted by a movement of an object in the venue. The processor is configured for: obtaining a time series of channel information (TSCI) of the wireless multipath channel based on the second wireless signal, wherein each channel information (CI) of the TSCI comprises a plurality of CI components, each of which is associated with an index; computing an inter-component statistics based on the plurality of CI components; computing, based on the inter-component statistics, a proximity information of the object with respect to a reference location in the venue; and performing a task based on the proximity information of the object.

摘要: A method includes: receiving a ranging signal from the transmitter comprising a set of multiplexed sub-signals, each multiplexed sub-signal characterized by a frequency in a set of frequencies; calculating a time-based time-of-arrival estimate based on the series of time-domain samples of the ranging signal; calculating a time-based uncertainty of the time-based time-of-arrival; for each sub-signal pair in a subset of multiplexed sub-signals of the set of multiplexed sub-signals, extracting a phase difference of the sub-signal pair; calculating a phase-based time-of-arrival estimate based on the phase difference of each sub-signal pair in the subset of multiplexed sub-signals; calculating a phase-based uncertainty of the phase-based time-of-arrival estimate; and calculating a hybrid time-of-arrival estimate as a weighted combination of the time-based time-of-arrival estimate, the phase-based time-of-arrival estimate, based on the time-based uncertainty and the phase-based uncertainty.
