摘要: Methods and systems for providing content and content recommendations are described. Content recommendations for users in a service area may be based on content requests from users within the same service area. Content recommendations over a period of time may dynamically change based on many factors, including: the number of requests for particular content within one or more time frames, the storage location of requested content relative to requesting users, and whether a request occurs within a time period of rapid shift in use and types of content requested. A content recommendation including one or more content recommendations may be provided to users.

摘要: A method for execution by one or more computing devices of a storage network includes identifying a storage unit of a set of storage units for testing, where a data segment of data is error encoded into a set of encoded data slices that is stored in the set of storage units. The method further includes determining whether a threshold number of favorably performing other storage units of the set of storage units will be available during the testing. When the threshold number of favorably performing other storage units will be available, the method further includes initiating the testing of the storage unit and setting a status of the storage unit to unavailable. When the testing has been completed, the method further includes updating the status of the storage unit to available. The method further includes generating a testing report regarding the testing of the storage unit.

摘要: Technologies for payload direct memory storing (PDMS) for out-of-order delivery of packets in remote direct memory access (RDMA) are described. A responder device includes an RDMA transport layer that can receive packets out of order and allow direct data placement of packet data in order. The responder device receives a first packet with a first packet number and first location information. The responder device stores first packet data to a first location according to the first location information. The responder device also receives a second packet and stores second packet data to a second location according to the second location information. A second packet number indicates that the first packet is received out of order. The first and second packet data are stored in order. The responder device can provide an indication that a message has arrived in response to determining that all packets of the message have arrived.

摘要: Techniques for live migrating a paravirtual remote direct memory access (PVRDMA) virtual machine (VM) from a source host system to a destination host system are provided. In one set of embodiments, during a pre-copy phase of the live migration process, a source hypervisor of the source host system can invoke an application programming interface (API) exposed by a source host channel adapter (HCA) of the source host system for initiating write tracing of remote direct memory access (RDMA) writes/atomic operations received from remote endpoints and can retrieve a write trace element generated by the source HCA that identifies a memory region of the PVRDMA VM written to as a result of an RDMA write/atomic operation and a write location within the memory region. The source hypervisor can then identify one or more guest memory pages of the PVRDMA VM dirtied per the write trace element and transmit data contents of those pages to the destination host system.

摘要: Address resolution information acquisition (ARIA) for a computing device is described. In some examples, ARIA includes a computing device (e.g., an Internet of things (IoT) node, a gateway, a server) determining, without use of an address resolution protocol (ARP), address resolution information of one or more other computing devices (e.g., a IoT node, a gateway, a server). In one example, the computing device uses data flowing to or from its application layer, transport layer, or network layer to determine address resolution information of another computing device. The address resolution information can comprise one or more of a link layer address (e.g., a media access control (MAC) address) and an Internet layer address (e.g., an Internet protocol (IP) address). Usage of a cache for storing or deleting address resolution information can also be part of ARIA.

摘要: Examples provided herein provide a manner of monitoring performance characteristics of a central processing unit or other instruction executing hardware device and adjusting settings of the central processing unit or other instruction executing hardware device. Performance characteristics can be gathered and stored in a secure memory or storage device. The performance characteristics can be transmitted to a control center using a provisioned network transceiver that does not rely on an operating system executed by the central processing unit or the hardware platform of the central processing unit. The control center can determine settings that are to be applied by the central processing unit or instruction executing hardware device and transmit the settings for use by the central processing unit or instruction executing hardware device.

摘要: Systems, methods, and/or apparatuses may be operative to perform a dialysis process that includes a displacer infusion process. The dialysis machine may include at least one processor and a memory coupled to the at least one processor, the memory comprising instructions that, when executed by the processor, may cause the at least one processor to access dialysis information for a dialysis process performed by a dialysis machine, the dialysis information indicating a target substance to be displaced from a binding compound by a displacer, and determine an infusion profile for infusing the displacer into a patient during a displacer infusion process of the dialysis process, the infusion profile determined based on the dialysis information and an infusion constraint. Other embodiments are described.

摘要: A method for providing a user of a transportation vehicle with infotainment content. An area of insufficient coverage of a network along a route ahead of the transportation vehicle is determined. Infotainment content to be made available to the user in the area of insufficient network coverage is determined based on at least one user input. This determined infotainment content to be provided is loaded into the transportation vehicle via the network and is finally made available to the user in the area of insufficient network coverage. A transportation vehicle to carry out the method and a system having a transportation vehicle and a network server.
