摘要: A position detector includes a tablet and a position indicator, which includes a coil and configured to continuously transmit a coil-based signal to the tablet as a position signal and to intermittently transmit the coil-based signal to the tablet as a non-positional signal. The tablet is configured to detect a position on its surface pointed to by the position indicator by detecting the continuously-transmitted coil-based signal, and to determine non-positional information regarding the position indicator (e.g., pen pressure, pen ID, etc.) by detecting the intermittently-transmitted coil-based signal. The position indicator further includes position indicator control circuitry configured to control the position indicator to: (i) receive an indicator control signal from the tablet; (ii) based on the received indicator control signal, select one type of non-positional information from among multiple types of non-positional information regarding the position indicator; and (iii) transmit the selected one type of non-positional information to the tablet.

摘要: A combined display surface and a control device for a data processing system, wherein the position of a light beam hitting the display surface is measured and the measured result is used by the data processing system as a basis for determining a cursor position on the display surface. Several strip-shaped optical position detectors are arranged along the edge of the display surface, the measured signals of which are fed into the data processing system. The cross-sectional shape of the indicator beam is formed by several lines which protrude both the display surface and the position detectors arranged thereon. The optical position detectors are formed by a layered structure made of organic material.

摘要: An apparatus is operated to determine the location of at least one object on a touch surface of a light transmissive panel. In the apparatus, an illumination arrangement introduces radiation into the panel for propagation by internal reflection between the touch surface and the opposite surface, so as to generate a grid of intersecting radiation paths in a sensing area, and a detection arrangement measures the transmitted energy in the radiation paths. A data processor then determines, based on the transmitted energy, the location based on an attenuation of two or more radiation paths caused by the object touching the touch surface within the sensing area. In the apparatus, the illumination arrangement generates at least a subset of the radiation paths by sweeping at least one beam of radiation along the touch surface. The detection arrangement comprises a fixed re-directing device which receives and re-directs the beam onto a common detection point while the beam is swept along the touch surface, and a radiation detector which is located at the common detection point to measure the energy of the beam(s).

摘要: An ejector for stylus includes a housing, an ejecting module and an operating member. The housing defines a retaining slot for retaining the stylus. The ejecting module includes a pushing member and an elastic member retained in the retaining slot. The pushing member defines a latching slot. The operating member includes an elastic arm and a latching arm extending from the elastic arm. The latching arm includes a latch opposite to the elastic arm. The latch is latched in the latching slot to fix the pushing member in the retaining slot and compressing the elastic member. The latch is detached from the latching slot and the compressed elastic member is released to drive the pushing member to push the stylus out of the retaining slot, when an external force is applied to curve the elastic arm.

摘要: The present invention relates to a resistive touchscreen for recognizing touch coordinates through a capacitor charging time constant, and more specifically, the invention comprises: an equal resistance line operating means for obtaining the same resistance line according to an (Rv+Ry+) value and the same resistance line according to an (Rv+Ry−) value by using the charge time constant after a charge time constant measuring means measures charge time constants of capacitors CconL and CconR; and a coordinate calculating means for obtaining intersecting points of the resistance lines, thereby perceiving the intersecting points as touch positions. According to the present invention, a conventional ADC (analog to digital converter) is not used because the touch positions can be perceived through the capacitor charging time constants, whereby the invention is advantageous for IC integration.

摘要: A time difference adder included in a system-on-chip (SOC) includes a first register unit and a second register unit. The first register unit is configured to receive first and second input signals having a first time difference, and generate a first output signal in response to a first signal. The second register unit is configured to receive third and fourth input signals having a second time difference, and generate a second output signal having a third time difference with respect to the first output signal in response to the first signal. The third time difference corresponds to a sum of the first time difference and the second time difference.
