    摘要: The present invention provides a waterproof structure for a conductive path which waterproofs a conductive path without imposing an unnecessary load on a conductor, and can sufficiently obtain a creepage distance.A plurality of grooves 9 is formed on the outer circumferential surface 8 of an insulator 7. The grooves 9 are formed to be hollow by heat or cutting. The grooves 9 are formed within a predetermined range L on the outer circumferential surface 8 of the insulator 7. This predetermined range L is set as a range in which an overmold part 5 is provided. The overmold part 5 is a seal member made of an elastomer, and is disposed and formed within the predetermined range L of an electric wire 2. Also, the overmold part 5 is formed to fill all of the three grooves 9.

    摘要: Disclosed is a swellable nonwoven fabric strip for a cable wrapping having a specific resistance of 3,000 .OMEGA..multidot.cm.sup.2 or less and a method for its manufacture. The strip is in the form of a fibrous flat material without perceptible layered construction, wherein the fibers are aligned mainly lengthwise of the strip and are 95 to 75 wt.- % in the form of viscose fibers and 5 to 25 wt.- % in the form of shrunken polyvinylalcohol fibers soluble in water beginning at 80.degree. C. The flat material is uniformly impregnated with a binding agent which under the action of water loses its ability to adhere. The strip contains swelling powder particles which swell upon the access of water but do not dissolve, the swelling agent being distributed in an amount of 20 to 40 g/m.sup.2. The strip is capable of swelling at the place of access of the water to at least 90% of its achievable thickness in approximately one minute.

    摘要: A water-soluble polymer coating for application to electrical wiring used in aircraft and other electrical structures is provided. The coating includes a water-soluble polymer such as polyvinyl acetate, polyvinyl alcohol, and methyl cellulose which is dissolved in water to form a solution. The solution may be applied to electrical wiring during manufacturing and dried to a film such that if the wire becomes damaged and exposed to water, a protective water-insoluble deposit is formed on the wiring. Alternatively, the solution may be applied to wiring which is already damaged to form a protective water-insoluble deposit.

    摘要: A thixotropic oil base gel having a low dielectric constant and high electrical resistivity is produced by agitating together in oil an alkali metal soap of a disproportionated rosin acid and a calcium compound that has a water solubility between 0.01 and 5 percent, and that has a pH lower than 11. Improved gelation is attained if small quantities of certain surfactants are present.
