    Abstract: This invention relates to a sensor and sensor platform, for an autonomous system. The sensor and its platform sense, perform signal or data processing, and make the decision locally at the point of sensing. More specifically, the sensor along with its platform simulates the human-like or human capacity to make decisions by combing the data from several sensors that detect different data sets, and combine them in a series of data processes that allows autonomous decisions to be made. Additionally, the sensor platform combines multiple sensors in one metasensor with the functionality of multiple sensors placed on a common carrier or platform.

    Abstract: A bioreactor system includes a housing configured to house and support a vessel, a stereo camera having first and second imagers secured to the housing, the stereo camera configured to image a surface of a liquid and a foam exposed to a headspace of the vessel. The system further includes a controller operatively connected to the stereo camera and the stereo camera and controller are configured to create an image of the exposed surface and identify foam on the surface based on the image.

    Abstract: Disclosed are improved methods, systems and devices for color night vision that reduce the number of intensifiers and/or decrease noise. In some embodiments, color night vision is provided in system in which multiple spectral bands are maintained, filtered separately, and then recombined in a unique three-lens-filtering setup. An illustrative four-camera night vision system is unique in that its first three cameras separately filter different bands using a subtractive Cyan, Magenta and Yellow (CMY) color filtering-process, while its fourth camera is used to sense either additional IR illuminators or a luminance channel to increase brightness. In some embodiments, the color night vision is implemented to distinguish details of an image in low light. The unique application of the three-lens subtractive CMY filtering allows for better photon scavenging and preservation of important color information.

    Abstract: An intraoral scanner comprises one or more structured light projectors and two or more cameras, where each structured light projector projects a pattern of light onto an intraoral three-dimensional (3D) surface and the two or more cameras capture one or more sets of images, wherein each image includes at least a portion of the projected pattern of light. A processor solves a correspondence problem within a set of images of the one or more sets of images such that points in 3D space are determined based on correspondence of captured features in the set of images to projected features of at least the portion of the projected pattern, wherein said points in 3D space form a solution to the correspondence problem. The processor calibrates the intraoral scanner by performing an adjustment to stored calibration data associated with the intraoral scanner based on the solution to the correspondence problem.
