Abstract: Systems and methods for three-dimensional imaging include a light source to emit a light pulse. The divergence of the light pulse is configurable by the system. For example, the system also includes a receiving lens having a field of view and configured to receive a portion of the light pulse reflected or scattered by a scene. The system configures the light source so that the divergence of the light pulse matches or approximates the field of view of the receiving lens.

Abstract: A method of calibrating a robotic imaging apparatus includes providing the robotic imaging apparatus, calibrating a stereoscopic camera portion of the apparatus to robot space, and registering the robot space to a patient space. An embodiment of the apparatus includes a base section defining the robot space, a robotic arm including a first end connected to the base section, a second end including a coupling interface, and a plurality of joints and links connecting the first end to the second end, each joint including a motor configured to rotate the joint around an axis and a joint sensor configured to transmit a position of the respective joint, a stereoscopic camera connected at the coupling interface, and a sensor positioned at the coupling interface and configured to detect force imparted on the stereoscopic camera by an operator and to transmit output data indicative of the detected force.

Abstract: This invention relates to a sensor and sensor platform, for an autonomous system. The sensor and its platform sense, perform signal or data processing, and make the decision locally at the point of sensing. Abstract: Disclosed are improved methods, systems and devices for color night vision that reduce the number of intensifiers and/or decrease noise. In some embodiments, color night vision is provided in system in which multiple spectral bands are maintained, filtered separately, and then recombined in a unique three-lens-filtering setup. An illustrative four-camera night vision system is unique in that its first three cameras separately filter different bands using a subtractive Cyan, Magenta and Yellow (CMY) color filtering-process, while its fourth camera is used to sense either additional IR illuminators or a luminance channel to increase brightness. In some embodiments, the color night vision is implemented to distinguish details of an image in low light. The unique application of the three-lens subtractive CMY filtering allows for better photon scavenging and preservation of important color information.

Abstract: An intraoral scanner comprises one or more structured light projectors and two or more cameras, where each structured light projector projects a pattern of light onto an intraoral three-dimensional (3D) surface and the two or more cameras capture one or more sets of images, wherein each image includes at least a portion of the projected pattern of light. A processor solves a correspondence problem within a set of images of the one or more sets of images such that points in 3D space are determined based on correspondence of captured features in the set of images to projected features of at least the portion of the projected pattern, wherein said points in 3D space form a solution to the correspondence problem. The processor calibrates the intraoral scanner by performing an adjustment to stored calibration data associated with the intraoral scanner based on the solution to the correspondence problem.
