The telemedicine system includes a first imaging unit that images a patient in a first space, an image processing unit that corrects an image of the patient based on imaging conditions in a first space and display conditions in a second space for displaying the image of the patient imaged in the first space, and a display unit that displays the corrected image of the patient in the second space. The present technique can be applied to, for example, a telemedicine system.-

摘要: The present disclosure can provide a stereoscopic display device and a method for manufacturing thereof. The stereoscopic display device includes first display areas and second display areas which are alternately provided, and further includes: a base substrate; a plurality of display components located on the base substrate of the first display area and the second display area; a first polarizing film, formed on one side of the display components of the first display area facing away from the base substrate; and a second polarizing film, formed on one side of the display components of the second display area facing away from the base substrate. The absorption axis direction of the first polarizing film is perpendicular to that of the second polarizing film.

In one aspect, a method includes illuminating a display with light, a portion of the light illuminating display elements of the display, and modulating the display elements of the display with a hologram corresponding to holographic data to diffract the portion of the light to form a holographic scene corresponding to the holographic data, and to suppress display zero order light in the holographic scene. The display zero order light can include reflected light from the display.

摘要: An imaging directional backlight apparatus including a waveguide, a light source array, for providing large area directed illumination from localized light sources. The waveguide may include a stepped structure, in which the steps may further include extraction features optically hidden to guided light, propagating in a first forward direction. Returning light propagating in a second backward direction may be refracted, diffracted, or reflected by the features to provide discrete illumination beams exiting from the top surface of the waveguide. The directional backlight may be arranged to switch between at least a first wide angular luminance profile mode and a second narrow angular luminance profile mode. The directional backlight is arranged to illuminate an LCD with a bias electrode arranged to switch liquid crystal directors in black state pixels between a first wide angular contrast profile mode and a second narrow angular contrast profile mode. Performance of privacy operation for off-axis snoopers is enhanced in comparison to displays with only directional backlights or switchable contrast properties.

摘要: There is provided an image processing apparatus and an image processing method by which three-dimensional data can be generated with high accuracy on the basis of two-dimensional image data and depth image data. A color shift correction data generation unit generates color shift correction data for correcting a color shift between two-dimensional image data of a base viewpoint and two-dimensional image data of a reference viewpoint. A metadata addition unit transmits color shift correction information including the color shift correction data generated by the color shift correction data generation unit, encoded data of the two-dimensional image data of the base viewpoint and depth image data indicative of a position of each of pixels in a depthwise direction of an image pickup object and encoded data of the two-dimensional image data of the reference viewpoint and depth image data. The present disclosure can be applied, for example, to a synthesis apparatus.

摘要: In a display device, an irradiation unit includes an imaging optical system. The imaging optical system scans and irradiates a front surface of a screen with light to form an image. The light passing through the screen and output from the screen in a movement direction is incident on a projection unit as incident light. The projection unit irradiates a reflective member with the incident light to allow the reflective member to reflect the incident light to form a virtual image corresponding to the image in a target space. A locus of a focal position of the imaging optical system when the irradiation unit wholly scans the front surface of the screen is within a range between the front surface of the screen at a first position and the front surface of the screen at a second position.

The AR/VR output object is outputted to an AR/VR display device and the user experience is improved by the geometric matching between objects observed on the AR/VR display device and corresponding objects appearing on the 2D screen.
