    摘要: The present disclosure can provide a stereoscopic display device and a method for manufacturing thereof. The stereoscopic display device includes first display areas and second display areas which are alternately provided, and further includes: a base substrate; a plurality of display components located on the base substrate of the first display area and the second display area; a first polarizing film, formed on one side of the display components of the first display area facing away from the base substrate; and a second polarizing film, formed on one side of the display components of the second display area facing away from the base substrate. The absorption axis direction of the first polarizing film is perpendicular to that of the second polarizing film.

    摘要: An imaging directional backlight apparatus including a waveguide, a light source array, for providing large area directed illumination from localized light sources. The waveguide may include a stepped structure, in which the steps may further include extraction features optically hidden to guided light, propagating in a first forward direction. Returning light propagating in a second backward direction may be refracted, diffracted, or reflected by the features to provide discrete illumination beams exiting from the top surface of the waveguide. The directional backlight may be arranged to switch between at least a first wide angular luminance profile mode and a second narrow angular luminance profile mode. The directional backlight is arranged to illuminate an LCD with a bias electrode arranged to switch liquid crystal directors in black state pixels between a first wide angular contrast profile mode and a second narrow angular contrast profile mode. Performance of privacy operation for off-axis snoopers is enhanced in comparison to displays with only directional backlights or switchable contrast properties.

    摘要: Methods, apparatus and systems for geometric matching of virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) output contemporaneously with video output formatted for display on a 2D screen include a determination of value sets that when used in image processing cause an off-screen angular field of view of the at least one of the AR output object or the VR output object to have a fixed relationship to at least one of the angular field of view of the onscreen object or of the 2D screen. The AR/VR output object is outputted to an AR/VR display device and the user experience is improved by the geometric matching between objects observed on the AR/VR display device and corresponding objects appearing on the 2D screen.

The image display apparatus includes: a display; a processor; a memory including a first buffer and a second buffer; and at least one program stored in the memory and executed by the processor. The instructions included in the program cause the processor to perform graphics processing on a first image, convert an attribute of the graphics-processed first image, generate an on screen display (OSD) image and control the memory to store the OSD image in the second buffer, perform image quality processing on the first image of which the attribute is converted, and control the display to display the image-quality-processed first image and the OSD image.
