摘要: Automobile panel repair laminates include a pressure sensitive adhesive bonded to a support backing. The support backing may be constructed of various materials such as plastically deformable polymeric materials including thermoplastic or thermoset materials and may have various thicknesses depending upon the desired conformability and rigidity necessary for the repair. The support backing may be bonded to the pressure sensitive adhesive by applying adhesion promoters such as solvents. The repair laminate is applied to a back or non-aesthetic side of the automobile panel, and the front side is repaired using standard techniques for filling and finishing.

摘要: Disclosed is a multilayer film for a strain-free laminate which is used for flexible TFT substrates or the like. Also disclosed are a laminate obtained by arranging such a multilayer film on a substrate made of an inorganic material, and a method for producing such a laminate. Specifically disclosed is a multilayer film wherein an adhesive resin layer which can be adhered to inorganic materials is arranged on a film base made of a resin. This multilayer film is characterized in that the average thermal expansion coefficient between 60°C and 80°C measured while heating the multilayer film from 30°C to 130°C is larger by 30-400 ppm/°C than the average thermal expansion coefficient between 60°C and 80°C measured while reheating the multilayer film, which is once heated to 130°C and then cooled to 30°C or less, from 30°C to 130°C. Also specifically disclosed is a laminate obtained by bonding such a multilayer film on at least one surface of a substrate which is made of an inorganic material. Further specifically disclosed is a method for producing such a laminate wherein the multilayer film and the substrate of inorganic material are bonded at a temperature not less than 40°C but not more than the glass transition temperature of a resin constituting the adhesive resin layer of the multilayer film.

摘要: Spunbonded fabrics are formed by melt-spinning a blend comprised of a major amount of an uncured substantially amorphous polyarylene sulfide and a minor amount of a crystallinity enhancer to obtain a nonwoven mass of filaments, and thereafter passing the nonwoven mass of filaments through a nip of heated calendering rolls to form a spunbonded fabric therefrom having at last substantially crystalline surface regions. Preferably, blending minor amounts of a polyolefin (e.g., polypropylene) with an uncured polyarylene sulfide (e.g., polyphenylene sulfide) allows spunbonded nonwoven fabrics to be formed which do not suffer from the drawbacks noted above. More specifically, spunbonded fabrics formed of a blend of PPS and polypropylene may be calendered (bonded) at temperatures greater than between about 110 to about 125 ° C (preferably greater than about 140 ° C), and exhibit lengthwise and widthwise shrinkage after heatsetting at 120 ° C for 3 minutes which is less than about 5%.
