A lightweight laminate comprises: (a) a first outer layer; (b) at least one internal reinforcing layer; (c) optionally, one or more intervening film layers; and (d) a second outer layer, wherein the at least one internal reinforcing layer is disposed between first and second outer layers, and wherein the second outer layer is saturated, partially saturated and coated, or partially coated with a wet-out resin. Reinforcing layers can comprise unitape further comprising parallel monofilaments embedded in resin. An article of manufacture, such as MOLLE, a plate-carrier, or other military, law enforcement, or recreational apparel or gear comprises the lightweight laminate.

A wounds detecting and reporting system integrated in a clothing, comprises one or more wound-sensing units for detecting a wound caused to a soldier wearing that clothing and for issuing an electrical signal indicative of the wound, and means for reporting the wound to a remote location, wherein the reporting is responsive to the electrical signal indicative of the wound. A heterogeneously structured adjustable lumbosacral stabilising belt characterised in that the belt consists of a flat fringed middle part made from two layers of tear-proof anti- skidding fabric and double elastic tightening straps coming out of the middle part and sewn in between the fabric layers of the middle part, terminated on both sides with a right-hand nylon link and a left-hand nylon link, with the inner side of the right-hand link being covered with sharp self-adhesive tape and the outer side of the left-hand link with soft self-adhesive tape.

An assembly structured for removably mounting armor on a user's body in a protective orientation including a base having an inner portion and an outer portion. The inner portion is structured to retain the armor, preferably but not exclusively, in the form of an armor plate on the base in substantially facing relation to the body of the user, wherein the outer portion is disposed in overlying, covering relation to the armor. Preferably the base is formed of a rigid material and an attachment assembly is connected to the base and structured to facilitate the operative and removable mounting of the base and the armor on the user in a predetermined protective orientation. The attachment assembly may also include a plurality of connectors and a common release mechanism, wherein the base and the armor can be quickly and easily removed from its protective orientation and operative mounting on the user.

A system and method for responding to a triggering event occurring on a premises includes accessing a vault compartment of a vault located on the premises to retrieve a responder tool kit including a ballistic vest, a portable communication device, and a defense device for use in responding to the triggering event. A controller located in the vault compartment is in communication with a monitoring station located off the premises and a biometric authentication device located external to the vault including a bioscanner such as an iris scanner for collecting biodata to authenticate a person external to the vault as a qualified rapid responder. The controller at the time of authenticating the qualified and authorized rapid responder outputs an alarm signal to the monitoring station, alerting the monitoring station to contact emergency services, and unlocks the vault to provide access to the responder tool kit located in the cage assembly.
Abstract:
A system for detecting impact on a ballistic vest and determining the extent, if any, of penetration and a resulting trajectory through a wearer of the ballistic vest. The ballistic vest is operable to communicate data to a mobile device to determine which organs have experienced trauma. Data is collected by sensor panels on the ballistic vest for analysis and to calculate the resulting trajectory. The resulting trajectory is correlated to organ locations to determine the potential internal damage to the wearer.

Se presenta un sistema, que va integrado a un traje para ambientes extremos, que tiene un medio alternativo de comunicación, de visualización de signos vitales, de camuflaje o mimetismo, así como un equipo de iluminación. Posee para ello un subsistema electrónico con un procesador encargado de combinar y desarrollar tales funciones. Se logra con esto que el sistema tenga propiedades importantes: que permita tener las manos libres, que sea liviano y fácilmente reemplazable (en caso de desperfecto) y que permita una integración importante con las tecnologías y sistemas de comunicación. Esto es importante para los trajes mencionados, como por ejemplo los trajes espaciales y acuáticos, donde la capacidad de maniobrabilidad y la comunicación con otros compañeros puede ser importante. Como novedad adicional, que es una aplicación derivada del despliegue de patrones, pueden tenerse trajes que permitan el camuflaje y el mimetismo en diferentes circunstancias y de manera dinámica.
