Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for treating organic waste, which comprises the step of contacting an organic waste with one or more microorganisms from at least three of the following microorganism species: Bacillus sp. microorganisms, Pseudomonas sp. microorganisms, Bifidobacterium sp. microorganisms and Lactobacillus sp. microorganisms, the contacting being undertaken under conditions to at least partly convert the organic waste to organic fertilizer.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process to purify enzymatically digested heparin-derived protein hydrolysate (peptone) comprising the step of passing the peptone through a nanofilter at a temperature of about ambient to about 130°F and a pressure of about ambient to about 360 psi resulting in peptone concentrate.

Abstract:
System comprising several separate elements, wherein organic waste is embedded in one end of the system, and mature compost is taken out in the other end. The separate elements comprise at the least one grinding mill (1), one dehumidifier (2) and one compost machine (3). Further the system comprises means for adding water before the dehumidifier, and means for ensuring that th liquid leaving the dehumidifier has a temperature above ca 25°C, preferably above 30°C. The invention also relates to a method for producing fertilizer, where organic waste is grinded and supplied with water, whereafter the fat- and liquid fraction are separated at a temperature above 25°C, preferably above 30°C, and where the solid mass is dehumidified and composted.
Abstract:
Dry fertilisers of biologically degraded crushed minerals such as limestone, rock, or rock phosphate together with micro-organisms, including one or more selected supplementary trace elements, are described. Minerals, some sawdust, an inoculum, and nutrients or other protein material, including bound selected micro-elements or trace elements are stored under aerobic conditions for some weeks during thermophilic biological degradation. The resolution fertiliser releases the macro-elements and micro-elements over a long period of time. The microelements are include within a biomass of micro-organism (5-6% carbon in the resulting fertiliser) and are more effective in remedying plan or animal deficiencies than if administered as inorganic salts. Furthermore this fertiliser avoids leaching of mineral including phosphate (phosphorus) and microelements into groundwater, streams, rivers or lakes.
Abstract:
The process of invention is characterized in that the 100 mass parts of meat industry waste products is optionally mixed with 15 to 35 mass parts of watery cattle or pig dung and 3 to 5 mass parts of mucilage of vegetable oil industry and 0.25 to 0.75 mass parts of copper (II) sulfate solution. The mixture is heat-treated and degreased in two stages then 0.2 to 0.7 mass parts of solution of a mixture of carbacrole and thymol or 0.2 to 0.8 mass parts of solution of a mixture of thymol and magnesium chloride is admixed and the mixture is incubated. The 30 to 40 mass parts of meat industry waste product treated in the above way and having dry material content of 10 to 40 mass %, 25 to 30 mass parts of residue material originating from biogas production, 10 to 20 mass parts of meat industry sewage sludge and 2 to 35 mass parts of pretreated chopped branches, -twigs vine-branches or -stalks of arboreous plants are mixed together and the mixture is then homogenized and optionally pre-milled and the mixture is composted in open or closed stacks, the compost - in a given case - is sieved after the thermophylic composting stage and the fine grained material is further composted.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for continuously producing granulated fertilizer comprising the following steps: a) producing a mixture comprising lignite, magnesia oxide, at least one nutritive compound selected among nitrogen-containing nutritive compounds, phosphorus-containing nutritive compounds, potassium-containing nutritive compounds, carbon chain nutritive compounds of plant and/or animal origin and mixtures thereof, and the granules recycled at step e); b) granulating in an acid medium in the presence of water, overheated water vapour, sulphuric acid and the mixture obtained in a) until granules having a moisture content ranging between 3 to 19 wt. %, based on the weight of the granules, are obtained; c) drying the granules obtained in b) until a moisture content ranging between 0.1 and 15 wt. %, based on the weight of the granules, are obtained; d) sieving the granules and separating the granules; e) recycling in step a) oversized granules, preferably after grinding, and undersized granules. The invention also concerns a fertilizer material in the form of granules obtainable by said method.
Abstract:
This invention is directed to a method of manufacturing a liquid agricultural fertilizer utilizing biosolids and high concentrations of nitrogen and other essential plant nutrients and the resulting products.
Abstract:
Organic nitrogenous fertiliser in liquid or granular form comprising a mixture of untreated or granulated horns and hoofs of beef-cattle with moisture content of up to 20 mass per cent and with 18 mass per cent of organic bound nitrogen of proteinaceous character. The size of the horn and hoofs granules of beef-cattle is from 0 - 12 mm. The method of obtention of the granular or liquid fertiliser according to the invention by means of bringing the horn and hoof mixture into a container, for example a reactor, followed by the addition of 100 % potassium hydroxide (KOH) into the mixture at mass ratio min. 1:2 and of 200 litres of water. The contents are then left in the lye bath to react or are heated until melting to be posteriorly neutralized by addition of 50 litres of 85% orthophosphoric acid. After neutralisation is achieved, the final mixture can be enriched with other nutrients, such as NO3, Mg, Fe, Co, B, Mn, Mo, Zn, Cu. The solution is finally brought into a final volume of 1000 litres with water.
