Abstract:
A product comprising a plurality of interlaced yarns wherein at least a first yarn having a tensile strength, having a value TS in N/tex, said first yarn containing a plurality of UHMWPE fibres having a titer, having a value T in den, wherein the ratio T/TS is at least 5 den.tex/N. The tensile strength is obtained by adjusting the drawing ratio or the UHMWPE filaments / fibres accordingly. The product shows resistance to abrasion. The product can be a rope or round slings, comprising a sheath / jacket comprising said first yarn.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A steel cord (50) comprises a core layer and an outer layer. The core layer comprises a number of first steel filaments (10) and the outer layer comprises a number of second steel filaments (20). The outer layer is helically twisted around the core layer. The first steel filaments have a twisting pitch greater than 310mm. At least one of the first steel filaments (10) is wavy preformed in one plane. At least one of the second steel filaments (20) is polygonally preformed.
Abstract:
The invention concerns. a process for producing a line (1) for fishing rods and the like, consisting of producing, from a plurality of filaments (2) made of high molecular weight polyethylene, a plurality of groups (3) of filaments, mutually twisting the groups (3) of filaments, and subsequently bonding said groups (3).
Abstract:
An annular concentrically twisted bead cord reduced in weight and cost and improved in molding properties and annular core corrosive resistance. The annular core (1) is formed of a medium carbon steel or an alloy steel obtained by suppressing carbon content and adding the proper amounts of specified elements thereto. The diameter (d c ) of the annular core (1) to the diameter (d s ) of peripheral wires (2) meets the requirement of the expression, 1.04 = d c /d s = 1.30, and the peripheral wires (2) with a coil diameter of 0.5 to 1.3 times the coil diameter of the annular core (1) are used to provide the bead cord reduced in weight and cost and improved in molding properties. Also, an Al-Zn alloy plating or a thick Zn plating layer is formed on the surface of the steel wire of the annular core (1) or a stainless steel is used as the material of the annular core (1) to increase the corrosive resistance of the annular core (1).
Abstract:
Abstract:
An elongation cord (10) adapted for the reinforcement of elastorner structures has a polymer core (12) and three to nine strands (14) twisted around the core with a cord twisting step in a cord twisting direction. At least one of the strands (14) has a first group (16) of filaments (17, 18) and a second group (20) of filaments (21, 22). The first group (16) of filaments (17, 18) is twisted with a first twisting step in a first twisting direction and the second group (20) of filaments (21, 22) is twisted with a second twisting step in a second twisting direction. The first twisting step is different from the second twisting step or the first twisting direction is different from the second twisting direction, or both. The first twisting direction is equal to the cord twisting direction and the first twisting step is equal to the cord twisting step.
