Abstract:
The present invention relates to construction materials comprising at least one binder, at least one oil-containing filler and at least one metallate additive according to formula (I): (RO)m-M-(Oa-Xb-R'c-Yd)n, wherein M is one of titanium and zirconium. The present invention also relates to methods of preparing and using the inventive construction materials. The inventive construction material compositions are capable of utilizing oil-containing fillers in which the oil is stable in the final composition and the desired mechanical properties of the construction material are maintained or improved.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a fire-retarding materials mixture composed of mineral and/or organic substances, synthetic and/or natural polymers or a combination of these substances and polymers, which are formed preferably as thermoplastic and/or thermoset mouldings, there being provided at least one inorganic and/or organic filler or a combination of these fillers, which on exposure to high temperatures release(s) water and/or water vapour, the mixture being characterized in that the at least one filler or the combination of such fillers is such that the release of water and/or water vapour takes place in defined and/or differentiated temperature ranges.
Abstract:
The invention relates to improved non-efflorescing cement-free and water-dispersible powder building material compositions comprising a homopolymer or copolymer as binder, useful for the preparation of wet formulations of plasters grouts, waterproofing coatings or mortars for the construction and the civil engineering industry. Redispersible dry composition of polymer finish comprising: a powdery organic binder included a polymer obtained by spray-drying or lyophilisation of a dispersion containing said polymer and a protective colloid; a deprotection agent; a specific adsorbent filler; and/or a load; and/or a water retentive agent; and/or a mineral rheological agent; and/or a defoamer; and/or a biocide; and/or a pigment. The invention also refers to the methods of preparation of these dry compositions and wet formulations, the application of these latter onto the surface of buildings or civil engineering works, the so obtained coatings as well as the so coated elements. The applications of these wet formulations can be also hardened joints or other hardened products for the construction as well as hardened mass objects. All these hardened products are remarkably water-resistant, non efflorescent and easy to obtain.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to non-combustible composite panels, comprising two outer layers (24) and a core (10, 16). Moreover, the invention provides a method for manufacturing of non-combustible composite panels. The amount of organic ingredients within the core, is reduced insofar as to allow for a heat of combustion adequate to reach non-flammability, whilst providing sufficient flexibility for the composite panel. Magnesium hydroxide is implemented within the core to obtain extraordinary flame retardation. In order to manufacture the inventive composite panels a continuous press (34) is utilised replacing extruders (14) known by the state of the art.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a structure for a bicycle lane, in which polyurethane foam, which can maintain the same physical properties as those of natural hardwood, is used to provide the bicycle lane with the hardness and rigidity similar to those of a bicycle race track having superior repulsive elastic force (the force of being bounced off), thereby enabling bicycle riders to enjoy comfort and speed. The present invention also relates to a method for constructing the structure. The structure of a bicycle lane according to the present invention comprises a base layer and a surface layer formed on the base layer. The surface layer comprises: a polyurethane foam layer, which is formed on an upper surface of the base layer by simultaneously spraying a main material, containing polypropylene glycol, an acrylate-based polymer, and silica, and a hardener, and foaming the sprayed materials; and a mixed red clay layer formed on the polyurethane foam layer.
Abstract:
A method of applying building a pavement structure using a polymer modified hot- applied tack coat is disclosed. This polymer modified tack coat is non-adhesive at ambient temperatures, and, thus, also non tracking. The tack is applied while hot, but cools quickly. The subsequent application of hot mix asphalt results in a superior bond between the asphalt layer and the tack layer. It is particularly well suited to bonded friction course applications since it removes the necessity of specialized spray paving machinery and allows the use of conventional asphalt distributors and pavers.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing articles of conglomerate material in the form of slabs comprises a first step involving preparation of a mix from a granulated material and an organic or inorganic binding paste, a second step for distributing the mix thus formed inside a mould, a third step for compacting the mix contained in the mould and a fourth step for hardening of the article. Said granulated product comprises granules of transparent material with a stone- like consistency lined with a coating containing glitter.
