Disclosed is a composite gypsum board comprising a board core and a concentrated layer, as well as related methods of preparing board and slurries. The board core and the concentrated layer both are formed from water and stucco. The concentrated layer is designed to have higher density and/or nail pull than the core. The concentrated layer is further formed from one or more of starch thickener, cellulose, and/or copolymer containing polyacrylamide and acrylic acid. In some embodiments, the concentrated layer is formed from an enhancing additive to enhance strength therein, while the core is formed without using enhancing additive or less enhancing additive than used in forming the board core.

При этом, перед отправкой продукции на отстаивание, осуществляют предварительный раскрой пластов, далее, после отстаивания, продукцию нарезают по точным размерам.

Disclosed are hydrophobic finish compositions and cementitious articles made with the hydrophobic finish compositions. In some embodiments, the article is a waterproof gypsum panel surface reinforced with inorganic mineral fibers that face a flexible and hydrophobic cementitious finish possessing beneficial waterproofing properties. These waterproof gypsum panels have many uses, such as, tile backer board in wet or dry areas of buildings, exterior weather barrier panel for use as exterior sheathing, interior wall and ceiling, and roof cover board having water durability and low surface absorption. The flexible and hydrophobic cementitious finish can include fly ash, film-forming polymer, preferably silane compound (e.g., alkyl alkoxysilane), an extended flow time retention agent including either one or more carboxylic acids, salts of carboxylic acids, or mixtures thereof, and other optional additives. Preferably a pre-coated non-woven glass fiber mat is employed to provide the inorganic mineral fibers for the surface reinforcement.

The coalescing agent coalesces the plurality of bubbles imparted by the foam. Typically, the coalescing agent coalesces a plurality of small and partially joined bubbles imparted by the foam to create larger and more discrete bubbles. A gypsum board and method of forming the slurry and the gypsum board are also disclosed. The gypsum board comprises a gypsum layer formed from the slurry. The gypsum layer defines a plurality of bubbles dispersed therein, which are imparted by the foam and coalescing agent of the slurry.

Paper and/or mat-faced gypsum board is prepared by applying a relatively thin coating of aqueous gypsum slurry containing a polyvinyl alcohol binder to one or two facer sheets. The polyvinyl alcohol binder provides adequate adhesion between the set gypsum core and the adjacent facer sheet(s) without the need for starch or other conventional binders. In one embodiment, polyvinyl alcohol is concentrated in one or more regions of the core adjacent to the facer sheet(s). In another embodiment, polyvinyl alcohol is applied to an aqueous gypsum slurry used to form the bulk core, such that the polyvinyl alcohol is present throughout the core.
