Abstract:
Disclosed is a lighting apparatus. The lighting apparatus includes a lighting module to receive therein a lighting part that emits light to an outside and a power control part having a connector; and a communication module extending by passing through the lighting module and detachably coupled to the connector to transfer a control signal received through a wireless network to the power control part.
Abstract:
A system for mounting a light emitting diode (LED) wave guide down light retrofit fixture. The system can include a mounting plate having a number of apertures symmetrically positioned around a center of the mounting plate. The system can also include at least one fastening device mechanically coupled to an upper surface of the mounting plate using at least a first aperture of the apertures, where the at least one fastening device mechanically couples to a base of an existing fixture. The system can further include a coupling device mechanically coupled to a lower surface of the mounting plate. The system can also include a trim assembly having a frame and a LED light source mechanically coupled to the frame. The frame can have a coupling feature disposed on a top surface of the frame, where the coupling feature mechanically couples to the coupling device.
Abstract:
An overhead LED light fixture (10) including a base member (12) with a vertical sleeve (32) secured to the top (14) of the base member for alignment with a pass-through opening (26). The fixture has a driver-tray assembly (38) with a bottom member (40) engageable with the base member at the pass-through opening, a vertical driver-support structure extending upwardly therefrom, at least one driver secured to the support structure (42), and the driver-tray assembly is slideably received within the vertical sleeve. When used as a canopy light, the driver-tray assembly is removable from below the canopy (22) to facilitate servicing, upgrading or replacing of components.
Abstract:
A modular troffer-style fixture particularly well- suited for use with solid state light sources. The fixture comprises a reflector (102) that includes parallel rails running along its length, providing a mount mechanism and structural support. An exposed heat sink (500) is disposed proximate to the reflector. The portion of the heat sink facing the reflector functions as a mount surface for the light sources. The heat sink is hollow through the center in the longitudinal direction. The hollow portion defines a conduit through which electrical conductors can be run to power light emitters. One or more light sources disposed along the heat sink mount surface emit light toward the reflector where it can be mixed and/or shaped before it is emitted from the troffer as useful light. End caps (110) are arranged at both ends of the reflector and heat sink, allowing for the easy connection of multiple units in a serial arrangement.
Abstract:
An LED lamp includes a lamp housing including an aluminum alloy substantially free of silicone. An LED is attached directly to the lamp housing and electrically connected to an electrical circuit trace disposed on the lamp housing. LED driver circuitry is electrically connected to the electrical circuit trace. The LED driver circuitry is electrically disposed between an electrical plug and the LED. A solder mask may be affixed over at least a portion of the electrical circuit trace. The lamp housing is in direct thermal conductive relation to the LED such that heat energy is dissipated from the LED directly to the lamp housing.
Abstract:
A lighting assembly includes a plurality of LED light sources and a light-guide assembly featuring a plurality of light guides with a proximal end and a distal end opposite the proximal end. The light-guide assembly further includes mating cap coupled to the proximal end of the plurality of light guides and that aligns recesses in the light guides with a corresponding LED light source in the plurality of LED light sources. A light-emitting lens has a receiving surface coupled to the distal end of each of the plurality of light guides and transfers light emitted from the distal end of each of the plurality of light guides into the light-emitting lens and a curved light-emitting surface that is able to emit light from within the light-emitting lens, the light within the light emitting lens being a blend of light emitted from least two of the plurality of light guides.

Abstract:
Lighting apparatus and structures are described to space electrical drivers from a light panel. In this way, a driver box housing the driver can be spaced from the light panel to communicate with pre-existing facilities (e.g. electrical wiring) and can serve the additional advantage of keeping the driver box out of standing water that may accumulate on the structure.
Abstract:
A lighting device includes: a base (24), at least one light emitting chip (22), at least one optical member (21) covering the light emitting chip, and a thermally conductive adhesive layer (23) being either electrically conductive (such as a solder, a conductive silver paste or a specific metal) or electrically insulating (such as a diamond film, a varnish or a ceramic). The thermally conductive adhesive layer (23) has opposite sides directly contacting the light emitting chip (22) and the base (24), respectively.
