    摘要: A wind turbine tower cleaning or coating apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a frame which circumferentially extends at least partially around a wind turbine tower. A separator structure can be attached to the frame and extends between the frame and the wind turbine tower to position the frame at a predetermined distance away from the wind turbine tower. A slider can be attached to the slidable end of the separator structure and can slide on the surface of the wind turbine tower as the frame is raised and lowered on the wind turbine tower. A plurality of sprayers can be positioned circumferentially along the frame and configured to selectively spray fluid onto the wind turbine tower. In one embodiment, a hoist device is attached to the frame to hoist the wind turbine cleaning or coating device vertically up and down the wind turbine tower.

    摘要: Apparatus for coating a pipe (6). The apparatus includes a first frame (2) to be mounted on a pipe and a second frame (4) rotatably mounted on the first frame (2). An induction heating coil comprised of electrical conductors (14) is mounted on the apparatus. A coating applicator (42) is mounted on the second frame (4) and is arranged to apply coating onto a surface of the pipe (6) on which the apparatus is mounted. The first frame (2), second frame (4) and coating applicator (42) are arranged such that when the apparatus is mounted on the pipe, the applicator (42) is disposed to one side of the induction heating coil and able to apply coating to a surface of the pipe alongside the surface of the pipe (S) underlying the induction heating coil. The first frame (2) may be operable between an open state in which the frame may be placed over and removed from a pipe and a closed state in which the frame may capture a pipe thereby to mount the apparatus on the pipe.

The coating device is characterised by having an irradiation stage (12,52), moveable with the annular coating stage (11), for providing radiation to at least partially cure the layer of coating formulation (24) onto the peripheral surface so as to prevent flow off of the coating formulation (24).

    摘要: There is described an apparatus (1) for coating a cylinder (C), in particular a wiping cylinder of an intaglio printing press, with a plastic composition comprising inter alia heating means (6) for applying radiant heat to the cylinder throughout its length as the cylinder is rotated, the heating means including a plurality of discrete heating elements (60) distributed along the length of the cylinder and around at least part of the peripheral surface of the cylinder, the heating elements being arranged at least in separate columns (60a to 6Oh) disposed parallel to one another along the length of the cylinder. The apparatus further comprises a temperature sensing system (9) for measuring the surface temperature of the cylinder along the length of the cylinder and a processing unit coupled to the temperature sensing system (9) for controlling operation of the heating elements (60) as a function of the measured surface temperature and a desired temperature setting (t c ). The temperature sensing system (9) is adapted to output a temperature measurement profile (T m ) representative of the surface temperature of the cylinder measured along the length of the cylinder, the temperature measurement profile being subdivided into a plurality of zones (Z1 to Z8) each associated to one corresponding column of heating elements (60a to 6Oh). Operation of each column of heating elements (60a to 6Oh) is controlled by the processing unit on the basis of the surface temperature measured within at least one of the zones (Z1 to Z8).
