The flow meter may be disposed on a beverage container and the fluid intake value may be indicative of an amount of fluid dispensed to an individual. The example technique may further include receiving a fluid output from a fluid excretion module. The fluid output value may be indicative of an amount of fluid excreted by the individual. The example technique may further include determining a hydration status of the individual based on a combination of the fluid intake value and the fluid output value. The hydration status may then be provided to the user.

These cardiogenic oscillations are a direct indicator of cardiac function and may be used to correlate various physiologic parameters such as stroke volume, pulmonary artery pressure, etc.

Tissue-mounted devices and methods for monitoring a thermal transport property (e.g., thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, heat capacity) of tissue, such as skin, are disclosed. The devices conformally mount to the tissue and comprise one or more thermal actuators and a plurality of sensors. The actuator applies heat to the tissue and the sensors detect a spatio temporal distribution of a physiological tissue parameter or physical property resulting from the heating. This spatio temporal information may be correlated with a rate, velocity and/or direction of blood flow, the presence of a vascular occlusion, circulation changes due to inflammation, hydration level and other physiological parameters.
