A dielectric ceramic composition which can be formed into a built-in or multilayer structure through simultaneously firing with a low resistance conductor such as Ag or Cu and can be fired at 800 to 1000°C into a dielectric ceramic exhibiting a dielectric constant (ϵr) of 10 or below, a large Qxf0 value and an absolute value of temperature coefficient (tauf) of resonance frequency (f0) of 20 ppm/°C or less whose regulation is easy. The dielectric ceramic composition comprises 5 to 150 pts.wt. of glass component per 100 pts.wt. of main components of the general formula: aZnAl2O4-bZn2SiO4-cTiO2-dZn2TiO4 wherein the molar fractions a, b, c and d of individual components satisfy the relationships: 5.0

The invention relates to a method for producing a ceramic multilayer component, according to which a base body (1) containing unsintered ceramic (2) and at least one metal-containing inner electrode (3) is sintered inside a sintering atmosphere. A metal serving as a sintering aid is provided inside said sintering atmosphere and the redox potential of this metal is at least as high as the redox potential of the metal contained inside the inner electrodes. In addition, the sintering aid can be a material that can bind and release oxygen. The invention also relates to a ceramic multilayer component comprising copper inner electrodes (3), said inner electrodes (3) being directly adjoined to the ceramic (2). The invention additionally concerns a retaining device.

Methods of producing a photosensitive ceramic composition and a multi−layer substrate using it. The ceramic multi−layer substrate and the production method therefor are applicable to circuit materials and components for high−frequency radio−use ceramic multi−layer substrate. A photosensitive ceramic composition comprising inorganic powder and a photosensitive organic component as essential components, characterized in that at least part of the surface of the inorganic powder is formed with a portion consisting of an inorganic material lower in refractive index than the inner layer portion of the inorganic power.

An intermediate low-pressure laminated ceramic device is formed from a plurality of layers of unfired ceramic material (20) each including ceramic particles in an organic binder. A polymer interfacial layer (22) having a glass transition temperature such that it flows at a temperature below a temperature required for the unfired ceramic layers to substantially deform, is deposited on one surface of each of the unfired ceramic layers. The unfired ceramic layers are stacked with an interfacial layer positioned between adjacent unfired ceramic layers in the stack. The stack is heated to a temperature greater than the glass transition temperature of the interfacial layers and a pressure is applied to the heated stack below approximately 1200 psi to fixedly bond the plurality of layers in the stack together.

A Cast-on-resist (COR) method comprises depositing a resist (102) on a substrate (104) and selectively exposing the resist (102) to a radiation source such that a first portion (106) of the resist (102) having a positive image of the pattern is soluble in a solvent and a second portion (108) of the resist (102) having a negative image of the pattern is insoluble in the solvent. The resist (102) is immersed in the solvent to remove the first portion (106) to form a casting substrate (100) having the negative image of the pattern, applying ceramic slurry (212) on the casting substrate (100), curing the ceramic slurry (212) on the casting substrate (100), and removing the ceramic slurry (212) from the casting substrate (100) after the curing.
