Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for analyzing consumer clicks (clicks) received from search engines from a listing, that includes at least one activatable link, associated with a target web site. The analysis is such that the analyzed clicks serve as the basis for targeting future clicks so that advertisers pay click aggregating bidders (click aggregators) for these future clicks at rates corresponding to the quality of the click. The click aggregators adjust the amounts they pay to the search engines that carry the listings corresponding to the requisite advertiser, based on amount they receive from the advertiser.

Abstract: A platelet substitute consisting of large unilamellar lipid vesicles that contain phosphatidylserine or another procoagulant (clot-promoting) phospholipid, a protein that has binding affinity for collagen or other component of the vessel wall that becomes exposed upon vessel injury, and/or a phospholipid scramblase, has been developed. This platelet substitute provides a means for selectively delivering procoagulant phospholipids and/or fatty acids to the site of vessel injury through targeted adherence to collagen or other component exposed upon vessel injury. These are particularly effective due to the combination of targeting procoagulant vesicles to a site of injury, and triggered exposure of phosphatidylserine (PS) on the surface.

Abstract: A chewing gum composition contains a gum base; 0% to about 60%, preferably about 10% to about 50%, bulking and sweetening agents; and about 5% to about 80% fat- containing confection, such as chocolate. The gum base comprises about 2% to about 40% elastomer, about 10% to about 50% elastomer plasticizer, about 2% to about 35% gum base softener, and about 1% to about 10% emulsifier. The gum base usually contains less than 10% filler, and less than 45% gum base matrix disrupting materials. In another embodiment, the chewing gum product is made from gum base and flavoring agents, possibly without the addition of any bulk sweetening agents. A chewing gum product can be formed from the composition. The product may be a compressed gum product. In another embodiment, the product can be coated or filled with a fat-containing confection, such as chocolate, in which case the product may be made of a composition without the fat-containing confection in it and with 0% to about 60% bulking and sweetening agent. The fat-containing confection may comprise up to about 90% of such a product, where the fat- containing confection and chewing gum are in distinct regions. A chewing gum center coated with fat-containing confection and further covered with a hard shell coating is depicted.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a method of diagnosing, predicting and/or monitoring the development or progress of an inflammatory response in a mammal. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method of diagnosing, predicting and/or monitoring the development or progress of an inflammatory response by analysis of activin ß B expression levels either in a subject mammal or in a biological sample derived from said mammal. The present invention further provides a method for predicting, diagnosing and/or monitoring conditions associated with or characterised by the onset of an inflammatory response. Also provided are diagnostic agents useful for detecting activin ß B expression levels.

Abstract: An active sensing and switching device for use in controlling current to a load, comprising a controller means (U1) for disconnecting the load from a power source by providing a switch-open control signal based on a signal indicating a sensed value of electrical current to the load, characterized in that the controller means (U1) determines a nominal value for the electrical current to the load based on monitoring the signal indicating the sensed value of electrical current to the load. A load control system is also provided, including a single ASSD adapted to receive signals indicating sensed values of electrical current to a plurality of respective loads, and further comprising a plurality of load control modules adapted so as to be disposed in proximity to respective loads or a main power line, wherein the load control modules provide respective signals indicating sensed values of electrical currents to the respective loads.
