Abstract:
A creamer composition comprising sugar beet pectin, vegetable oil and bulking agent, a beverage capsule comprising such creamer, a beverage system comprising such creamer, a beverage composition comprising such creamer and a method of producing such creamer. Furthermore, the use of sugar beet pectin as an emulsifier in a creamer composition.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a sealing tool (100) with a sealing surface (110) for sealing sheets (200) of metallized substrate, such as metallized paper or metallized plastic material, in cooperation with a sealing tool counterpart (190), which is arranged opposite to the sealing tool (too) with respect to the sheets (200) that are to be sealed. The sealing surface (no) comprises a plurality of sealing sections (111-115), which all face in the same sealing direction (SD) of the sealing tool (100), and has a sealing width extending transversely to the sealing direction (SD) of the sealing tool (100) from an outer sealing tool side (121) to an inner sealing tool side (122). The sealing sections (111-115) are arranged side by side in a stepwise manner so that, from the outer sealing tool side (121) to the inner sealing tool side (122), every sealing section (111-115) is offset from its neighbouring sealing section (111-115) in a direction opposite to the sealing direction (SD) of the sealing tool (100). The invention also relates to an apparatus (300) for sealing two sheets (200) of the metallized substrate with the sealing tool (100). Further, the invention relates to a packaging (400) for enclosing a substance and a method of producing such packaging (400).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a soluble beverage powder consisting of dried coffee extract. In particular to a soluble coffee powder having a gold appearance. Further aspects of the invention are a powder mix for preparing a beverage and a process for making a soluble beverage powder.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to beverage products, in particular a liquid non-dairy creamer composition comprising high oleic oils; micellar casein; emulsifiers comprising a mixture of mono- and di-glycerides and diacetyl tartaric acid esters of mono- and di-glycerides; and hydrocolloids comprising a mixture of carrageenan, microcrystalline cellulose and carboxymethyl cellulose.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to clean label beverage products. In particular, the invention is concerned with combination of a protein system induced by controlled aggregation of milk proteins and only one hydrocolloid, high acyl gellan gum, which imparts outstanding sensory attributes on beverage product, in particular when containing reduced fat/sugar. A method of producing such beverage and the products obtainable from the method are also part of the present invention. The present invention also relates to a RTD coffee beverage.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of poly- and oligosaccharides and their dietary effects. In particular it relates to a method of producing a branched α-glucan. Further aspects of the invention are a branched α-glucan comprising linear segments of (α1→4) linked D-glucose units interspersed with (α1→6) glucosidic linkages and having (α1→4,6) branching points; a food composition; and the use of an α-glucanotransferase enzyme for reducing the digestible carbohydrates of a starch containing food material.
Abstract:
Disclosed areco-crystals comprising amino acids (such as serine) and sodium chloride, processes for their preparation and nutritional compositions comprising the co-crystals.
Abstract:
A food or plant material extraction testing system, apparatus and method are disclosed. The system comprises a chamber with a first opening for allowing food or plant material to be added and a second opening for allowing material to be removed. The chamber comprises an outer wall, comprising a water inlet, and an inner wall. The walls define a cavity therebetween, the cavity for receiving heated water through the inlet to heat the chamber. The system further comprises: a thermometer for sensing temperature within the chamber; a mixer for mixing, within the chamber, food or plant material, an enzyme and a solvent to produce a mixture; a gas inlet for allowing pressurised gas into the chamber to compress the mixture; a plunger for compressing the mixture within the chamber; a sealable outlet for allowing solution to exit the chamber; and a filter across the sealable outlet, for filtering the mixture.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition connprising polysaccharides and whey protein micelles for use in the treatment or prevention of a disorder linked to an increase in plasma postprandial insulin in a subject. The invention relates also to the non-therapeutic use of a composition comprising polysaccharides and whey protein micelles to decrease plasma postprandial insulin concentration. A further aspect of the invention is a process for forming polysaccharide-whey protein micelle complexes.
Abstract:
The present invention relates generally to fortified food products. In particular the invention relates to a process for manufacturing a food product fortified with iron. A further aspect of the invention is a food product obtainable by the process of the invention.
