The invention relates to a roll for a web forming machine. The roll includes a shell (10), with end pieces (11) at both ends of it. The end pieces (11) are arranged to be detachably attached to the shell (10), and in each end piece (11) there is an end plate (13) with a protruding shaft (14) in it. The end piece (11) includes a separate inner piece (17), in which there is an internal hole (18) corresponding to the protruding shaft (14) for attachment. In the inner piece (17) the end plate (13) is supported by at least one plate piece (19). The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing the roll for a web forming machine.

The invention relates to a guide roll for a web forming machine. The guide roll (15, 15') includes a shell (10) of a sheet material, with end pieces (11) at both of its ends. In addition, in each end piece (11) there is an end plate (13) , with a protruding shaft (14) in it for a bearing arrangement (12) . The end plate (13) and the protruding shaft (14) are arranged as separate pieces. In addition, there is at least one shaped plate piece (19) between the end plate (13) and the protruding shaft (14), separate in the axial direction from the point of contact between the end plate (13) and the protruding shaft (14). The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing and using the guide roll (15, 15 ').

The invention relates to a beam structure for a web forming machine. The beam structure is arranged to be supported by its end components (10) on the web forming machine. Th beam structure includes a casing structure (15) of a thin-sheet material, inside which a stiffener structure (30) is arranged. In addition, the casing structure (15) and the stiffener structure (30) are secured to each other to create a load-bearing beam structure.

The invention relates to a method and assembly for controlling the vibrations of a doctor blade beam. To the doctor blade beam (1) is adapted at least one dynamic damper assembly comprising at least a springed element (6) affixable to the doctor blade beam (1) and a mass supported to the springed element, whereby the natural frequency of the damper assembly is tunable to the natural frequency of the doctor blade beam.

The invention relates to a roll to be used in the dryer section of a web forming machine. The wire (12) is arranged to travel over the roll (10, 11). The roll (10, 11) includes a shell (16) and end pieces (17) at both ends of it. In addition, means are arranged in connection with the roll (10, 11), for creating a pressure or temperature difference inside the roll (10, 11), relative to its environment. The shell (16) is of a thin-sheet material. A stiffener structure (18) is fitted inside the shell (16).

The target of the invention is a method and a system to control a reeling profile of a material web reel (30), when, in the forming of the reel a web is reeled around a reeling core and when in an adjustment of CD- directional profiles of the web reel, profiling devices (8) have been applied. Characteristic of the invention is that for adjusting quality profiles and reeling profiles of the web, profiling devices are managed with the help of profile measurings of the roller nip and/or of the profile measurings of the reel (30), which are obtained from the reel-up (2). The target of the invention also a measuring device (40) for a measuring of a CD-directional hardness profile of the fibre web reel, which measuring device includes a measuring head (43), which is connected with a loading means (41, 42), which loads the measuring head against the fibre web reel. Characteristic of the device is that the motion course of the measuring head is linear.

The invention is directed to a sectional roll of a paper or board machine, which roll part comprises at least two roll segments (10) arranged successively in the axial direction, which roll segment comprises a rotatably arranged roll shell (13) and support parts (15) for supporting the roll segment against the framework of a paper or board machine / the framework of a device in connection with a paper or board machine and a coupling member (16) for connecting the roll segments (10) end-to-end in the axial direction with each other. A gap-like space remaining between the roll shells (13) of the roll segments (10) i.e. a point of discontinuity between the outer surfaces of the roll shells (13) has been evened out by means of an endless member (11) extending over at least part of the circumferential dimension of the roll shell.

The invention relates to a method in a reel-up of a paper web, in which the web roll (11) is formed around a reeling shaft and/or on support of carrier rolls or carrier belts, and in which a reeling drum (10) is used which forms a reeling nip (N) with the roll (11) to be produced. The reeling drum (10) is a deflection- adjustable reeling drum, the deflection of the roll shell (12) of which rotating around a central shaft is adjusted with at least one load means. According to the invention, in the method, the deflection of the roll shell (12) is adjusted internally of the shell (12) by loading provided with at least one load means (19) for providing nip force and/or nip-force profile prevailing in the reeling nip (N). In the method, the nip force and/or nip-force profile is adjusted with said at least one internal load means of the shell (12). The invention also relates to a device in a reel-up of a paper web. The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a roll, a reeling drum or equivalent which roll is crowned. A desired thickness profile/shape is turned in the shell of the roll from inside for providing the crown by means of inside pressurisation. The invention also relates to a nip roll/reeling drum of a paper or board machine, for crowning the roll shell (12) of which, the roll shell is arranged internally pressurisable and a thickness profile according to the desired crown is made to the roll shell (12) in the manufacturing phase.

A method and an apparatus for controlling the cross-directional nip profile of a reeling nip in a reeler, in which the reeling nip (N1) is arranged by means of a reeling core or a growing machine reel (R) and at least one loop of an endless supporting member (1) continuous in the direction of the axis of the reeling core (5). To control the cross-directional nip profile of the reeling nip (N1), variables proportional to the tension of the supporting member are measured, cross-directional tension profile of the supporting member (1) is determined on the basis of said variables, and further, a cross-directional nip profile of the reeling nip is determined, said nip profile being controlled by adjusting the determined cross-directional tension profile of the supporting member (1).
