摘要: Methods of bonding and a conductively bonded joint (1) betwen fibre reinforced polymer composite structures (7, 7a), with a conductive adhesive (6, 16) in combination with a conductive intermediary structure (5), more particularly to a lightning strike resilient bonded joint between fibre reinforced polymer composites (7, 7a). A conductive adhesive (6, 16) comprising a curable binder (13) and a high aspect ratio nanoscale carbon particulate filler (14) present in the range of from 0.1 to 40%wt, wherein said particulate filler (14) comprises a conductive coating is also disclosed.

摘要: Disclosed is a liquid storage system comprising a tank (16) for containing a liquid, said tank (16) enclosing a liquid storage space (14), and a plurality of spaced apart protrusions (18b) extending from an internal surface of the tank (16) into the liquid storage space (14). The protrusions (18b) are resistant to deformation and deflection caused by shockwaves (30) within a liquid in the tank (16) resulting from impact of a projectile (24) with the tank (16), for example, the protrusions (18b) may be rigid and be polygonal prisms in shape.
