In various embodiments, the present disclosure provides a device that comprises: a storage compartment; a fluid stored in the storage compartment; a first aperture on the storage compartment, wherein the first aperture is initially sealed or closed before the use of the device and configured to be opened to receive a pneumatic pressure; and a second aperture on the storage compartment, wherein the second aperture is initially sealed or closed before the use of the device and configured to be opened to allow the fluid exiting or entering the storage compartment via the opened second aperture.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to devices, device systems, and methods for analyzing cells (e.g., blood cells) and particles in a sample. The present disclosure provides various devices and device systems that can include: a light source, a collecting lens, and one, two or more detectors. These devices and device systems can also include a flow cell or a cartridge device that comprises a flow cell. The present disclosure provides various methods that can include steps of: using a light source to emit an irradiation light; using the irradiation light to illuminate a sample flow; using a collecting lens to collect both scattered light and fluorescent light from the sample flow; and using one, two or more detectors to detect the collected scattered light and fluorescent light. These methods can include using a flow cell to form a sample flow. These methods can also include the steps of: receiving a sample into a cartridge device that comprises a flow cell; using the cartridge device to mix the sample with a reagent to form a measurement sample; and using the flow cell to form a sample flow of the measurement sample.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for measuring parameters based on the presence or absence of fluid at a plurality of fluid sensing zones in a disposable cassette are described herein.
