A system and method for reclaiming select components containing rare earth metals of electronic media electronic storage devices such as hard disk drives, solid state drives and hybrid hard drives and destroying the data containing components thereof comprising first devices to loosen various components of the storage device, the components including the components containing the rare earth elements and the data containing portions. Second devices are provided for removing components from the storage device. A holding chassis receives the storage device, and moves the storage device for engagement with the first and second devices. A section is provided for destroying the data containing portion of the electric storage device when it is removed from the storage device.

A rotary drum apparatus comprises a drum that is rotatable about an axis of rotation. The apparatus comprises a first set of first shell segments having a first number of first shell segments. Each first shell segment is releasably connectable with the drum and has an outer surface. The outer surfaces of the first shell segments combine to form a continuous first outer circumferential surface defining a maximum radial distance from the axis of rotation. The apparatus comprises a second set of second shell segments having a second number of second shell segments. Each second shell segment is releasably connectable with the drum and has an outer surface. The outer surfaces of the second shell segments combine to form a continuous second outer circumferential surface located within 10% of the maximum radial distance. The first number of first shell segments is greater than the second number of second shell segments.

Eine Maschine (10) zur Bearbeitung von insbesondere Kunststoff- Brillengläsern (L) hat ein Maschinengehäuse (18), das einen Arbeitsraum (24) umschließt, der zwischen einer Werkstückspindel (26) zum Drehantreiben des Brillenglases um eine Werkstück- Drehachse (B-Achse) und einem Fast-Tool-Servo (28) zur Erzeugung einer oszillierenden Zustellbewegung (F-Achse) eines Drehwerkzeugs (30) in Richtung des Brillenglases liegt. Für die Werkstückspindel ist ein antreibbarer, an wenigstens zwei Führungsflächen (34, 36) einer Führungsanordnung (38) geführter Schlitten (32) zur Erzeugung einer relativen Vorschubbewegung (X-Achse) zwischen Brillenglas und Drehwerkzeug vorgesehen, die quer zur Zustellbewegung verläuft und mit dieser eine Bearbeitungsebene (F-X-Ebene) definiert, in der bei der Bearbeitung ein Eingriff zwischen Drehwerkzeug und Brillenglas stattfindet. Für eine sehr kompakte und steife Ausgestaltung der Maschine ist die Führungsanordnung so am Maschinengehäuse angebracht, dass die Bearbeitungsebene zwischen den zwei Führungsflächen hindurch verläuft.

A system for reconditioning barrels comprising: a robot arm; a router assembly for routing the inside surface of a barrel; and a laser assembly for measuring the inside profile of a barrel, wherein: the router assembly is fixedly attached to the robot arm; and the laser assembly is removably attached to the router assembly thus allowing the laser assembly to be removed whilst the barrel is being routed in order to protect the laser from airborne particles and vibrations from the router.
