Abstract:
A mask that communicates a flow of breathing gas with an airway of a user is formed by a two-shot injection molding process. The mask includes a mask body (38) and a mask seal member (40), at least a portion of which is molded to the mask body by a two-shot injection molding process, while the mask body is cooling and incompletely cured. The mask seal member, or a portion thereof, is molecularly bonded to the mask body as a consequence of the two-shot injection molding process.

Abstract:
Abstract:
A fluid delivery adapter for use with a wire bar lid is provided. Embodiments can comprise a support base having an aperture defined therein, the aperture being shaped and dimensioned to accept a fluid delivery valve. The support base can be adapted to be disposed on top of the wire bar lid to facilitate providing fluid from a fluid bag supported by the wire bar lid. The fluid delivery adapter can further comprise one or more displaceable side portions extending away from the support base, the side portions providing lateral support for the fluid bag.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a procedure for sequential moulding of an assembled object and a machine for the performance of the procedure. The in at least two subsequent mouldings produced object is moulded in a mould with a usually stationary front part (1), a movable back part (2) and at least one turnable middle part (3). After the moulding of the first part of the object (5), the middle part (3) is turned at least once, preferably 180 degrees around an axis/axle (4) placed in a right angle to the moving direction between the front part and the back part, before the moulding of the following part of the object (10) takes place. In this way the first part of the object from the moulding at the front part (1) can be transported via the turnable middle part (3) to the back part (2), where the following moulding on the object can take place. As well as the injection and the cooling can take place in the front part and in the back at the same time, a lot of cycle time can be saved. In a special design the middle part (3) can be equipped with an insulation (11) in the middle which secures that between the front part (1) and the middle part (3) can be maintained a higher temperature than between the middle part and the back part (2). Hereby it is possible to mould together considerably different materials such as a thermo plastic material and an elastomer, a silicone, or metal and plastic.
Abstract:
A composite beam chord (7) is between first and second reinforcement plates (8, 9). The beam chord (7) includes a first ply of reinforcing fibers with a fiber orientation of +α (degrees with respect to a longitudinal axis of the beam chord (7) and a second ply of reinforcing fibers with a fiber orientation of - α degrees with respect to the longitudinal axis. The angle α is between 2 and 12 degrees for suppression or delay of ply splitting.
Abstract:
A cushion assembly (700) for use with a respiratory mask includes a bladder (715) filled with the combination of a gel (740) having a first indentation hardness and a gel (750) having a second indentation hardness.
Abstract:
A babies' feeding bottle teat (14) made of liquid silicon rubber moulded to shape and part vulcanized in the mould, and is connected to a cap (12) made of polypropylene or similar stiffer material. The cap (12) and teat (14) are interlocked together by the moulding operations. The description includes comparable teat substitute used in a baby soother or pacifier, in which case the teat is moulded to a mouth shield by a generally similar technique.
