System and apparatus are disclosed for a cargo bed of a utility vehicle including side wall panels and a clamping device for mounting accessories. One exemplary embodiment includes cargo bed side panel having a first protrusion and a second protrusion, a clamping mechanism having a first finger configured to engage the first protrusion and a second finger configured to engage the second protrusion, and an actuator configured to move the first and second fingers effective to secure the clamping device to the side panel.

Zur Erstellung einer Plattenkonstruktion aus kastenförmigen Hohlprofilabschnitten (2) wird vorgeschlagen, die Längskanten (3) der Hohlprofilabschnitte so zu gestalten, dass zwischen den beiden aneinanderstossenden Längskanten (3) ein zylindrischer Hohlraum (5) entsteht, in den zur kraftschlüssigen Verbindung als Schraub- oder Klemmmittel (4) ein Spannbolzen mit Spreizhülse und Expander einschiebbar ist. Die aufeinander zu liegen kommenden Flanken (6) an den Längskanten (3) verlaufen zur Oberfläche der Profilabschnitte geneigt. Die Hohlprofilabschnitte (2) greifen entlang den Längskanten (3) hakenförmig ineinander und das Klemmmittel (4) drückt diesen Formschluss kraftschlüssig zusammen.

Beim Verbinden von zwei Bauteilen (1, 2), insbesondere zwei flächigen Bauteilen zur Bildung von Paneelen umfassen diese mindestens zwei aneinander schweißbare Profilelemente, wobei jedes Prof ileleraent mindestens im Bereich von Längsrändern (3, 3') eine obere Deckfläche (4, 4') und eine untere Deckfläche (5, 5') aufweist. Beim Reib-Rühr-Schweißen wirkt eine durch das Schweißwerkzeug aufgebrachte Aufdruckkraft im Wesentlichen senkrecht zu den Deckflächen. Die Profilelemente umfassen Spannelemente (10, 20), über welche die Profilelemente miteinander verbindbar sind, wobei die Spannelemente derart ausgebildet sind, dass die Andruckkraft über die Spannelemente mindestens teilweise in eine Horizontalkraft umgelenkt wird, welche die Profilelemente aneinander drückt bzw. zueinander zubewegt, wobei die Längsränder der oberen Deckfläche gegen die Längsränder der unteren Deckfläche durch ein einziges Stützelement (30) gegeneinander abgestützt sind und/oder bezogen auf die Deckflächen senkrecht übereinander stehen. Auf diese Weise wird ein einfaches Verschweißen auch sehr großer Bauteile möglich gemacht.

A trailer body includes left and right bottom rails and left and right top rails all parallel to each other. A floor extends between the left and right bottom rails. A left vertical sidewall is defined between the left bottom rail and the left top rail. A right vertical sidewall is defined between the right bottom rail and the right top rail. The sidewalls are defined by a plurality of abutted extruded wall panels that extend vertically between the respective bottom and top rails. The floor is optionally defined by a plurality of abutted and interconnected one-piece extruded floor panels that extend between the left and right bottom rails. The wall and/or floor panels can include an I-beam post/cross- member defined in the extrusion profile. The panels can also define half I-beam post/cross-members so that adjacent abutted panels cooperate to define additional full I- beam post/cross-members.
