본 발명은 폴리에틸렌테레프탈레이트(PET, Polyethylene terephtalate) 및 양방향 말단기 변성 폴리디메틸실록산(PDMS)을 포함하는 내마모성이 개선된 공중합 폴리에틸렌테레프탈레이트에 관한 것으로, 상기 공중합 폴리에틸렌테레프탈레이트를 직접 원사하는 방법 또는 양방향 말단기 변성 폴리디메틸실록산(PDMS)를 고농도로 폴리에틸렌테레프탈레이트에 공중합하여 마스터배치로 활용하는 방법으로 제조되는 것으로서 이와같이 제조된 폴리에틸렌테레프탈레이트 중합물을 이용하여 원사, 카매트용 BCF 또는 필름을 제조할 수 있다.

The invention provides an actinically-polymerizable amphiphilic polysiloxane which comprises a polysiloxane polymer chain comprising a polylsiloxane segments comprising at least one siloxane unit having a low molecular weight hydrophilic polymer chain connected with a silicone atom of the siloxane unit, and (meth)acrylamido groups each covalently bonded to one of the ends of the polysiloxane polymer chain and/or to the end of one of low molecular weight hydrophilic polymer chains each connected with one silicone atom. The present invention is also related to a polymer, an actinically-crosslinkable silicone-containing prepolymer, a silicone hydrogel polymeric material, or a silicone hydrogel contact lens, which comprises repeating units derived from an actinically-polymerizable amphiphilic polysiloxane of the invention. In addition, the invention provides a method for making silicone hydrogel contact lenses using a water-based lens-forming formulation comprising an actinically-polymerizable amphiphilic polysiloxane of the invention.

A silicone-modified polyester resin and methods for making the resin are described herein. The method includes production of a siliconized intermediate which is then esterified to give a silicone-modified polyester resin. Coating compositions including the silicone- modified polyester resin are provided, and coated articles with the coating composition applied to at least a portion of a surface thereof are also provided.

Copolymers, as well as compounds, compositions, articles of manufacture, and methods of making thereof, are disclosed. The copolymers may generally exhibit flexibility properties and may generally have a high refractive index. The copolymers may generally be made by providing a dihydrodisiloxane and an aliphatic vinyl alcohol and combining the dihydrodisiloxane and the aliphatic vinyl alcohol under conditions that allow for hydrogenation of the aliphatic vinyl alcohol and result in coupling of the aliphatic vinyl alcohol to the dihydrodisiloxane to produce a hydroxyl substituted siloxane.

The composition can include from 15 to 85 percent by weight of a polyetherimide (PEI), from 15 to 85 percent by weight of a polyphenylsulfone (PPSU), a polyetherimide-siloxane copolymer in an amount up to 12 percent by weight, and from 0 to 0.30 percent by weight of a stabilizer.

The present invention relates to a polysiloxane-polylactide block copolymer and a preparation method thereof, in which the polysiloxane-polylactide block copolymer has improved impact resistance and flexibility, compared to the conventional polylactide resins and can be prepared by ring-opening polymerization of lactide monomers in the presence of a polymerization initiator of polysiloxane.
