Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
Disclosed are solar-reflective roofing and other building materials having high reflectance of near-infrared radiation and high transmission of radiation in the visible light range and a substantial emissivity so as to reduce the heat island effects experienced by the articles while also maintaining an aesthetically pleasing appearance. Also disclosed are related methods for fabrication of such materials.
Abstract:
Tile panel assemblies and systems of manufacturing and installing said tile panels. The tile panels of the subject invention can be used as a covering for walls, roofs, siding, etc. on a variety of structures. In one embodiment, the tiles are manufactured of a lightweight concrete having sufficient strength to withstand extreme weather and wind conditions, as well as normal handling or foot traffic required for installation and maintenance. In a further embodiment, the tiles of the subject invention comprise insulation, preferably foam, affixed thereto. The tile panels are constructed so as to present an overlapping configuration and selectively interlocking systems that provide resistance to negative pressure wind uplifting and enhanced insulation properties. Also disclosed is a tile bracket apparatus that can secure the leading edge of a tile to prevent wind-uplift.
Abstract:
A building material product and a method of making building material products, having increased resistance to granule rub off and staining. The building material product comprises a substrate having embedded granules and an acrylic latex coating positioned on the granules, where the polymer of the acrylic latex coating has the repeating structural unit [CH 2 -C (R 1 )(R 2 )], where R 1 is hydrogen or C 1 -C 8 alkyl; R 2 is hydrogen, cyano or -COOR; and R is a linear or branched hydrocarbon containing 1-22 carbon atoms, with the proviso that R 1 and R 2 are both not hydrogen. The method includes applying this acrylic latex water based composition to a granule embedded substrate.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a façade plate comprising a base body which has a front wall that forms the visible side. A lateral wall oriented toward the rear side of the façade plate connects to the edges of the front wall. The front surface forms, together with the lateral walls, a space on the rear side for accommodating an insulating board. An insulating board can be inserted into said space and can be fixed therein. The processability of the façade plate is simplified by virtue of the fact that the base body has one or more retaining parts with teeth, and that the retaining parts are placed in the insulating board, whereby the teeth sink into the insulating board material.
Abstract:
A leakproof insulation board with certain special characteristics here is a leakproof insulation board, either made from polystyrene, polyethylene, or polyurethane, which is designed to be larger than a regular roof tile (2), as its extra edge (3) extends from both left and right sides for over lapping or interlocking thus seal the openings of its corresponding roof tile (2). A leakproof insulation board (1) is to be attached underneath a roof tile (2); and, by that, the top surface of that roof tile (2), the topmost part, is exposed to sunlight and water.
Abstract:
A roofing material includes a plurality of laminate layers and a surface treatment. The plurality of laminate layers includes a top laminate layer which at least partially overlaps a bottom laminate layer. The surface treatment is on portions of the top and bottom laminate layers. A shadow area is created on a top surface of the bottom laminate layer, adjacent to the top laminate layer, that is void of the surface treatment. This shadow area has a distinct visual appearance from the other portions of the top and bottom laminate layers that are subjected to the surface treatment.
Abstract:
A roofing system and article for installation on a roof deck. The roofing article includes a body having an upper portion and an underside. A first channel is defined within the upper portion. The first channel includes an inlet. A second channel is defined intermediate the underside of the body and the roof deck. The second channel is operably connected to the first channel through an orifice, such that the outside air can enter the second channel through the orifice.
