An apparatus for selectively raising, lowering or otherwise moving load such or panel, or other article such as a pet door comprises a frame, a panel, a motor, a constant tension spring, and a control system. The panel is carried by the frame for movement between an open position and a closed position. The spring is attached to the panel to bias the panel open. The frame includes a plurality of groves retaining seals such as fibrous weatherscal to sea] the interface between the panel and the frame against penetration by the elements. The control system is in communication with the motor to actuate the motor, thereby moving the panel with the assistance of the spring. The control system includes an antenna in the panel for emitting a low frequency (RFID) signal, and a fob that is worn by a pet to communicate with the antenna to actuate the motor.

The invention relates to a vertically sliding window (1) comprising an outer frame (2) and at least one window leaf (3) associated with the outer frame (2). Said window leaf (3) comprises at least one window pane (4) and is guided in a vertically displaceable manner along the outer frame (2) in lateral guiding rails, in the assembled state. The invention is characterised in that the outer frame (2) is provided with at least one drive unit which is coupled to the window leaf (3) in such a way that said window leaf (3) can be vertically displaced in a longitudinal manner by means of the drive unit. Advantageously, the inventive window (1) having window leaves (3) of any weight, any size and any protective effect can be actuated manually, and preferably by means of a motor, with reduced effort due to a drive unit which is embodied in a corresponding manner.

The present invention concerns a motorized door having a shutter for closing and opening an area. The door comprises a series of sensors mounted on or adjacent to a leading edge of the shutter and wherein the sensors comprise ultrasonic emitter/receiver units configured for detecting the presence of an obstacle both in the opening plane of the door as well as in an approaching zone located near the opening area of the door. The door comprises a controller configured to distinguish an accidental obstacle from a non-accidental obstacle and instantly stop the movement of the leading edge when an accidental obstacle is observed during closing of the door.

The present invention relates to a glass siding system (A), which is used on the external walls of buildings, closes the openings on the external walls and can be used as a door system and/or window system, consisting of multiple movable wings (14) that can close the openings on the external walls moving on the axis z, the interlocking extensions (8) that increase the heat insulation and wind resistance of the movable wings (14) while the glass siding system is closed, the movable parts (12) moving up and down on the axis z in conjunction with the rotating movement of the threaded rod (6) and movable wing fastening parts (11) that allow the movement of the movable wing (14) up or down on the axis z by interlocking the movement parts (12).

The gate has an exchangeable span (4) that is fixed to the load bearing beam (3) and is connected with pulley bearings (11) and rope-slings (12) to the system of adjustable counterweights (9). The drive system is fitted with an electric drive (19) with a worm-wheel (24) mounted to the load bearing beam (3) that travels vertically along the worm (22). The beam, span and the drive travel on adjustable guiderails (2) inside a reinforced concrete pit (1) in the direction opposite to that of counterweights (9). The load bearing beam (3) is fitted with rollers (5) and retaining rollers mounted to the cover (18). Emergency (manual) operation of the gate is possible by turning a crank handle connected with the worm (22), having released the lock that prevents the worm from rotating on its axis.

The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for driving a moveable closure, such as a garage door. In an initialisation process in a setup mode for the door operator for driving a moveable closure between open and closed positions, the apparatus allows selection of opening and/or closing speeds for the closure from a plurality of predefined stored driving speeds. This selection, or the range of stored driving speeds available for selection, is made in accordance with the type of closure to be driven, and this may be established automatically by detecting certain characteristics of movement of the closure as part of the initialisation process.
