    Abstract: The regulating device described comprises an element (51) which senses the rotational speed of the injection pump shaft (1) and controls the pump rack (6). The movement of said rack is limited mechanically (61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 67), in a known manner, in function of the position of the accelerator pedal (67). The degree of movement of the rack (6) is therefore proportional to the distance travelled by the accelerator pedal (67). The essence of the invention is a d.c. generator the rotor (2) of which is mounted on the shaft (1) of the injection pump. The stator (4) of the generator is torsionally mounted on the pump against the force of a spring (41) and is linked by a mechanical transmission (43, 45) to a forked stop (46) which prevents further movement. The element (51) which senses the rotational speed of the pump shaft (1) regulates the excitation voltage of the stator (4) by means of a control unit (5).

    Abstract: A fuel control system (10 or 70) includes a hydraulic servo system (17) for moving a fuel rack (15) in response to movement of a rack control member (16). A brushless direct current torque motor (50), having a rotor (51) and a control lever (53) fixed thereto, is arranged with its lever end (54) confined between opposed shoulders (41, 42) on the rack control member (16). Electronically energized movement of the rotor (51) and its control lever (53) in one direction, or spring (56) biased movement in the other, causes corresponding movement of the control member (16) and fuel rack (15). A second control lever (99), movable by a mechanical governor control (80), is engageable with another shoulder (104) on the rack control member (16) to move it in a fuel-decreasing direction. The present fuel control systems (10 and 70) are particularly useful in conjunction with a fuel injection pump (11) for a diesel engine (13) with the fuel flow rate being controlled in sole response (10) to an electronic engine control (60) or in dual response (70) to an electronic engine control (60) and a mechanical governor control (80).

    Abstract: Described is a distributor-type fuel-injection pump with a moving-magnet actuator (15) which operates an actuator element (14) determining the amount of fuel injected. The actuator (15) is controlled by an actuation signal which depends on certain engine-operation parameters. The actuator (15) is mounted in a fuel-filled chamber (16) inside the pump casing (17). To avoid rotary oscillations in the armature (20) of the moving-magnet actuator (15), an oscillation-damping device (25) is provided which comprises a paddle (26) rigidly connected to the armature (20) plus two partition walls (27, 28) located in the chamber (16).     Abstract: An electronic speed regulating device for a diesel engine includes an oil-regulating element (1) of an injection pump, a pin roll (2), a control module, a motor (3) and its rotating shaft (4), a stem (5) and a speed-regulating lever (7) etc. The regulator omits a mechanical centrifugal speed governor and controls the motor (3) through a load signal by using the control module, and transfers the angular displacement of the motor (3) to the angular displacement of the oil-regulating element (1) of the injection pump by a series of driving devices. Compared with the conventional mechanical centrifugal speed governor, the motion piece of the speed regulator has lighter weight, smaller inertia and more sensitive reaction. The speed-regulating lever (7) adopting certain lever ratio refines the step displacement of the stepping motor (3) and sends it to the oil-regulating element (1) of the injection pump, which can regulate the oil supply quickly and accurately and reduce the fluctuation ratio of the diesel rotary speed.
